Re: Deep sounding exhaust? - sinto607276 - 22-08-15

Ahh right, duh@me :eek I just didn't bother as it said that :lol
Nice sounds bit your right about thinking everyone's looking at you without the baffle in :eek

Re: Deep sounding exhaust? - darrsi - 22-08-15

The 2nd one is WITH the baffle in.

Sounded much deeper without but just LOUD.

Trust me, a lot of sound is lost in the videos, it sounds like it has no exhaust when you give it the slightest bit of welly.

I like the best SP with baffle

Re: Deep sounding exhaust? - sinto607276 - 22-08-15

I would say is there is now a lot more vibration through the bars since I put my can on.
I had that problem before with standard exhaust, but thanks to mickvp I done the carbs and it smoothed out :thumbup just wondering now if I need to redo the carbs again for this can? Any advice on this be great Smile

Re: Deep sounding exhaust? - nickf - 25-08-15

...mine came with a Devil Magnum can, deep and fairly loud. I had to use micro indicators though.

I have just purchased a new can from Max Torque cans, it is amazing they have had a rebrand and their new logo looks great check it out on their website http://www.maxtorquecans.com/

Wouldn't be too keen on declaring the make of those cans on my insurance form though!

Re: Deep sounding exhaust? - Bretty - 07-09-16

Mine has a scorpion on. It grumbles, crackles and pops on overrun.  Big Grin

Re: Deep sounding exhaust? - misterjayb1 - 07-09-16

Scorpion here too.. Slightly modified baffle fitted to allow better breathing, wow those things look and feel restrictive as standard..

What do you mean?

Mine doesn't have a baffle, just a bug hole down the middle. I think I get it used off ebay. Probably the best upgrade I ever fitted.

More than likely an off road race can if it doesn't look like a baffle's ever been fitted.

Re: Deep sounding exhaust? - Bretty - 11-09-16

It does have "not for road use" embossed on it. I keep meaning to polish it off.  :rolleyes

Normally that's the main one for an MOT failure if it's actually written on it.
My Quill exhaust is a race can but it doesn't say 'not for road use' anywhere and it's not too loud at tick over either so gets through okay.
Oddly enough i got an advisory once for noise on my Moto GP can which is totally legal when baffled, but he didn't spot the markings on it.  :rolleyes

Re: Deep sounding exhaust? - misterjayb1 - 11-09-16

Yes mine came with baffle inserted and bs stamped.. Goes great without the baffle, better throughout the rev range with it fitted and also slightly more neighbour friendly  Smile .. The bike did feel restricted at higher revs tho before the baffle was modified..
