Re: tyres again!! - nickodemon - 28-12-15 +1 for pr2's Re: tyres again!! - unfazed - 28-12-15 Hard to beat the PR4, I have just put a pair of Sportec M7s on the 1000, now if only I could get a dry day to bed them in. :rolleyes Re: tyres again!! - fazersharp - 29-12-15 (03-08-15, 10:36 PM)noggythenog link Wrote: I think tyres are like condoms.......all the brands do the same job but having confidence in the brand makes you ride better :lol That's not quite right because you cannot get two tyres on the same wheel rim for the ultimate confidence Should one let you down there is always the other one Re: tyres again!! - Frosties - 29-12-15 For what it's worth. Had Metzeler Z6's fitted and thought they were great for grip and mileage etc. Changed to PR4's after locking the front in the wet and cadence braked into side of van in London (centre line grip/tread on Z6's a bit lacking in wet). I've so far managed to lock the front twice with the PR4's in the DRY under "yoooooouuuuuuuuuu CNUT" braking conditions. Good tyres (brilliant in wet) but maybe a tad too soft if that makes sense.
