I reckon the cause is this The pads rock on the centre pin. Doesn't matter when the bikes not done many miles But after many miles they gradually wear an indent in the brake caliper. Best way to test it is put the front brake on, sit on the bike and rock it backwards and forwards. You should get the clacking noise. In any event don't worry about it. Mine started doing it around the 40,000 - 50,000 mile mark It's now done 80,000 miles, and the front brake still works fine. |
