I've had one similar experience when I was driving on the M4 between Newport and Cardiff - low Autumn sun just caught the road perfectly that it was almost impossible to see the cars ahead (thankfully the traffic was only moving at about 10 MPH due to roadworks
The view out of the rear view mirror was spectacular though - incredibly high contrast between the dark shadows and intense orange from the sunset

As I commented on that: If you want to kill someone, don't bother shooting or stabbing them, just run them down with a car and claim you were distracted and you'll get off with a slap on the wrist :thumbdown
