Re: Low revs on Fazer - Fraser - 13-05-15 Do they bury all the bikes or just for special customers !!!!!!!!!! Re: Low revs on Fazer - unfazed - 14-05-15 Most likely the plug cap and wires. Roll back the boots on the coil leads, unscrew the plug caps from the coil leads cut about 10mm off the end of the wire. Screw the plug caps back on until tight. Put some vaseline in around the top of the caps and the leads and roll the boot back on to the top of the plug caps. Re: Low revs on Fazer - dilboy - 21-05-15 Well I had put the wrong caps on the plugs :wall and now it runs like a dream ![]() Re: Low revs on Fazer - Jules-C - 21-05-15 Silly boy. But at least it's a cheap fix Re: Low revs on Fazer - anutz - 21-05-15 how did you put the wrong caps on a set of spark plugs - not saying that in a funny way, i literally mean i did not even think about changing those things - i have seen custom ones, what was wong with yours, i thought as long as the coils were stock.... do different caps affect the spark plugs then? I have seen different colors of leads as well... assuming you had some of the wrong resistance or other propert? Re: Low revs on Fazer - red98 - 22-05-15 i think he means the wrong lead on the wrong plug,as in firing order, easy done.....another lesson learnt ![]() Re: Low revs on Fazer - anutz - 22-05-15 ah - ok, so yes that i understand... still now its unleashed a wrathe of ideas in my small mind......can i put on different color leads and caps :b hmmm..... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/7mm-HT-Ignition-Lead-Cable-Copper-Core-PVC-Red-/230777676927?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item35bb6be47f Re: Low revs on Fazer - Jules-C - 22-05-15 Think he meant he swapped the leads over by mistake so lead 1 went on plug for cylinder 2 and lead 2 on to cylinder 1 plug Re: Low revs on Fazer - red98 - 22-05-15 (22-05-15, 08:35 AM)anutz link Wrote: ah - ok, so yes that i understand... the ht leads on the fazer are moulded into the coils so not an easy job....I have seen joints in leads but not keen on them... something else I spotted whilst looking at outboard boat engine parts was coloured fuel lines.......cant really see them on the fazer though.... Re: Low revs on Fazer - dilboy - 25-05-15 yes wrong leads it was,3 on 4 and 4 on 3 :o But it runs like a dream, did a 200 mile round trip on Saturday, it flew when needed, lovely ride :evil Re: Low revs on Fazer - anutz - 25-05-15 its nice when you have a good ride out - i have not been out since end of March!!!! :b Re: Low revs on Fazer - dilboy - 25-05-15 That was the first good ride I've had on the bike since I bought it, really enjoyed it, shame you've not been out since march Re: Low revs on Fazer - anutz - 25-05-15 yeah, i bought it in January, and did 1500 miles Feb, really got back into things, really enjoyed it then went and buggered it all up!
