as for others don't take any notice ,its your bike have it how you want.
every has an ass but not all are the same Wink
if you wanted to hear from an asshole you would have farted.
you do what you like mate.
Totally agree with you there John, a bike is a personal thing, how it looks is your own choice, not someone else's :-)

Watch your eyes don't fall out with all that rolling about fazersharp, was mearly asking at the beginning, but more I looked into it, I think it looks really nice if done correctly.

I reckon it can look good.  It really depends on which ones you get.
I ended up getting a bellypan (which hasn't arrived yet so no pics) and i reckon it'll balance the bike out a bit having some red at the bottom as well as the top (very technical i know).
I looked briefly at the full fairing but since i want to move the top fairing down and forward it wouldn't work for me.

The engines on bikes are pieces of art and should not be hidden IMHO

Re: full fairing or not? - Davew - 26-03-15

saves you a load of cleaning, but is a pain in the arse if you need to do any work on the bike.  I fitted a belly pan, and found it's pretty good at keeping the winter crud off the very bottom of the downpipes which had previously rotted away.  Think the silver fairing looks pretty neat though, a bit like an old BMW.

Re: full fairing or not? - Paulfzs - 26-03-15

the foxeye that was posted here looks ok
the boxeye looks ugly as fek

if you crash it or drop it at low speed then its more to fix.

its 1 extra thing to clean
pain to do oil changes or keep an eye on stuff down there.

Not a fan of them. I don't think they blend in with the rest of the bike.

Re: full fairing or not? - johnakay - 26-03-15

if I was or able to buy new the (03 the prettiest) model fazer now I'd pick this style rather than full..
still looks nice.

Re: full fairing or not? - HJFazer - 26-03-15

I considered this when I first got mine. Then I found a bellypan quite cheap on gumtree, got that and feel that it does enough cosmetically. It seems to add a balance with the engine and the rest of the bike that works well. It's also useful at keeping the crap off the pipes (as Davew said) so once I'd done that I dropped the idea of full fairings.

I think my conclusion was, if I wanted a full fairing bike I should have bought one. That said, I do like the way the silver boxeye looks, just wouldn't do it myself

Re: full fairing or not? - sinto607276 - 26-03-15

I saw one on the show me your fazer post, lovely set up, just an extra wee fairing added to the top fairing, pity it was on a FoxEye but it did look good, I'm on my phone on here and don't know how to get the pic to this post but it was sort of reddish/purple colour, really nice looking :-)

Re: full fairing or not? - sinto607276 - 26-03-15

I just screendumped it to let you see it.

Re: full fairing or not? - caretaker62 - 27-03-15

go for it,gives you the choice of two bikes, one ugly as fek with full fering, or one really really ugly one with no fering  :lol ,like others have said its personal choice, as for taking the lower fering of 10mins max, and if you worry about damage if you drop it ,dont buy a bike, also gives great protection from elements

Re: full fairing or not? - caretaker62 - 27-03-15

go for it ,like some have said personal taste i love my ugly as ........ full fering  box eye, i can remove the fering in 10 mins max , hey presto a ugly as ...... no fering boxeye. funny in my ignorence i thought i had a fzs  :lol im glad ther,s poeple on the site to give their knowledge and encouragement

Re: full fairing or not? - sinto607276 - 27-03-15

Yes, we all have different views, which is a good thing :-)
I do like the look of your fairing but since I've looked at that screendumped pic I put here, I like that look if I could get it for our si called boxeye, or maybe get it for the fzs B-)
