Re: what's your fuel range? - stevie-g1968 - 21-03-15 Just looked at mine and it shows 184 miles and it's sat just under the 1/4 mark..... Re: what's your fuel range? - Sannox - 21-03-15 250 from my 2002 foxeye being careful before the light comes on, less if I'm tanking it :-) Re: what's your fuel range? - ChristoT - 21-03-15 If you're proper caning it, you can see the fuel gauge moving towards empty at an alarming rate as you ride! :eek :eek Re: what's your fuel range? - Punkstig - 21-03-15 And therein lies your problem Christo, you should be looking up the road mate! Quality :rollin :rollin Re: what's your fuel range? - sinto607276 - 21-03-15 I suppose it all depends what 'load' your carrying, two up, luggage, and of course the weight of each indivitual rider and as Christo says, if your caning it! I've never bothered seeing what mileage i get, i'm in traffic all the time so it's pointless. Re: what's your fuel range? - sinto607276 - 21-03-15 Guess it all depends on what weight your carrying, not getting personal guys, so don't bite back lol I'm sure there must be a sort of average for a guideline, I know it depends on lots of factors, weight, type of riding, etc, from what I gather it's about 170/180 but is that before light comes on or running it near enough dry? Cheers. Re: what's your fuel range? - fazersharp - 21-03-15 I think it works out about 10p a smile mile Re: what's your fuel range? - sinto607276 - 22-03-15 Think I've solved it guys! Put fuel when speedo reading 22719 Filled it up Now reading 22864 Difference of 145 till light came on. But still leaves the dilema of how come I've only done 58.9 miles as I reset the trip. A) I've pressed it during riding at some point and reset it? Or B) the trip meter is faulty? Will try with next fill up and see what happens Cheers sinto :-) Re: what's your fuel range? - darrsi - 22-03-15 (22-03-15, 07:34 PM)sinto607276 link Wrote: Think I've solved it guys! Not tried it personally, so don't quote me on it if you get stranded with no fuel, but i believe you get roughly 30 miles after the warning so that adds up about right! Yeah Darrsi, I don't think I'll be trying it either lol Never like running it that low! Fuel in it tomorrow then I'll see what I get from that but think I now may of reset it somehow without realising it so fingers crossed :-D Re: what's your fuel range? - Jules-C - 22-03-15 Did you disconnect the battery? The trip gets reset whenever the battery is disconnected, even with ignition turned off there is a live connection to the clocks to keep the trip meter memory working Re: what's your fuel range? - sinto607276 - 22-03-15 (22-03-15, 11:49 PM)Jules-C link Wrote: Did you disconnect the battery?
