Re: ALDI bike gear - Stainy - 07-03-15 (07-03-15, 01:08 PM)sc0ttie link Wrote: Thanks for this, i will go and have a look at the cheap tankbag, if seems decent quality i might get one, take the load off my back :lol I had one for a couple of years in the past. Good quality though these seem a different make/model. I bust my zip stuffing it to the gills - It wasn't the bags fault :b Re: ALDI bike gear - Skippernick - 07-03-15 :'( Sold out within 24 hrs. Plenty of people buying, not many jackets and trousers, plenty of boots but seemed to be mostly small sizes. Re: ALDI bike gear - Billy Balthorpe - 08-03-15 Just been to Aldi, got 2 new large bike covers and a new wind proof neck thingy. I wanted to get another wind proof thermal long johns and top but the wife stopped me coz I've already got a set. Must go on my own next time. Re: ALDI bike gear - Woodzey80 - 08-03-15 Got two pair of socks, would highly recommend them to anyone. Also got one of them neck guards, seems good quality but time will tell !! Re: ALDI bike gear - lew600fazer - 08-03-15 Okay not ALDI , got this in LIDL yesterday. A lot of people say would not buy a cheap helmet!!!!!!!! ah! why not some of the big players the likes of ARAI are not what they try and make themselves out to be. ARAI Condor 2** rating £240 a Duchinni D832 £59.99 gets a 5*****rating. There is only one full face helmet in the ARAI range gets a 5*****rating the GP5X @£250.00 source from the UK Gov Sharp .com site. Okay the Crivit helmet has not been tested by Sharp but it has an EU rating ECE-R 22.05 Also I am of the opinion if a German company is marketing it cannot be all bad. The helmet looks well made comes with a 3 year warranty so time will tell. The Thermals I have had before so they are decent kit. Thought the photo would have been there click on the link. Re: ALDI bike gear - bigralphie - 11-03-15 ECE-R 22.05 (reg22) is the current highest standard for motorcycle helmets As a manager of a QA test workshop I was a bit perplexed by the sharp test using anvils and drop jigs all a bit too static IMHO Re: ALDI bike gear - chaz - 11-03-15 got a pair size 11 boots seem ok, at £30 if they last a couple of years it's good value? Re: ALDI bike gear - b1k3rdude - 19-04-15 Anyone tried the Kevlar Jeans? there is a local store near me, thinking of popping up there to have a look. @Woodzey80, what are the socks like? do they sag under the heal of your foot..? Re: ALDI bike gear - Woodzey80 - 19-04-15 Socks are really good, nice tight fit but comfy & no sagging. I've got a pair of the Kevlar jeans also & again there spot on, I'm into my second year with them & no defects what so ever.
