No. No, I'm not saying a word :tape [/quote] Must. Not. Make. Comment. PAHAHAHAHAHAH... ESCAPE ROUTE... PAHAHAHAHAHA Oh and god damn Honda Jazz drivers... I've yet to see one drive sensibly and at least half of them make some sort of attempt on my life Re: new ideas about biker safety - noggythenog - 06-02-15 Honda Jizz :evil Re: new ideas about biker safety - unfazed - 06-02-15 Honda Jazz drivers reason for living is to stop bike riders falling asleep while riding :lol Re: new ideas about biker safety - Dead Eye - 07-02-15 Oh its not just on the bike, they try to kill me any time I'm in the car as well, though one did completely ignore me on a roundabout (I was on the roundabout, they were approaching) a few years ago when I had my first 600 and the old git just waved at me to say "oh sorry I just didn't bother to stop, thanks for waiting for me" Re: new ideas about biker safety - Rikki - 08-02-15 I also use the "assume they're all trying to kill you" approach which is fine for spotting potential hazards in front / to the side, but what really scares me is the speeding "nutter from behind" who-must-get-in-front-of-you-whatever-the-cost. A couple of times I've nearly been splattered by these, which makes me worry about constantly checking my mirrors every couple of seconds, taking my attention away from the road in front. Re: new ideas about biker safety - expatmanxman - 08-02-15 The 'they're all trying to kill you' approach is an interesting one, are they really trying to kill you, I suspect not. There's some interesting research been done by this group, things like how our accident figures compare to somewhere out in the far east where there are millions of bikes and virtually no training, the types of accident are apparently still the same, so training doesn't change the type of accidents we have. The science behind it is a bit deep at times but makes a lot of sense. It shouldn't be a case of us and them, we're all on the road together and need to learn to share it. |
