Re: Ethernet question - esetest - 11-04-14 Another option for having internet in different rooms without running extra cat 5 cables is a socket / data combo , for example if your router is in your study , hall or lounge and you want internet in your bedrooms , you replace your twin socket with a socket /data como0 plug your router into this , then in a bedroom you replace another twin socket with a socket /data comoi and plug your pc or laptop into this the signal is sent down the existing power cables , you can buy these from senate electrical wholesalers they are about £16 each , a lot cheaper than running data cables everywhere . Or you do what I did and get a wireless router . Re: Ethernet question - fazersharp - 11-04-14 Sorry to locksmith for the hijack and thanks everyone for the help and ideas |
