Re: Just finished Headlight Mod. on FZS600 - gryphongryphon - 09-12-13 Since I did this mod, I noticed bike was stuttering on acceleration, quite noticeable, anyway I checked all the electrics I had altered or disconnected while fitting single head light, no better , changed all plugs for new, still same problem. Eventually I tried pulling off plugs when engine running, one at a time. I found that removing plugs 1 or 4 nearly stalled engine when idling. When I removed plug 2 or 3 engine note did not change anywhere near as much, I concluded it might be coil to 2 and 3 plugs.I bought a coil tried it today and engine ran perfectly, rode it and it is now running better than any time since I have owned it. Just thought I would mention this , perhaps it will help somebody else sometime. It was such a relief to have fixed it ![]() Re: Just finished Headlight Mod. on FZS600 - gryphongryphon - 10-12-13 This Fazer listed on Ebay.co.uk in link below: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=171192968107 Re: Just finished Headlight Mod. on FZS600 - stevierst - 10-12-13 I don't suppose you fancy a swap for a high spec absolutely mint bandit 600 of the same year? GSXR susp upgrade, braided lines, stubby scorpion can, custom seat, and much, much more. ![]() Re: Just finished Headlight Mod. on FZS600 - gryphongryphon - 10-12-13 Nice looking bike Steve,I will repeat for sake of others who might see my post that I have just bought an 05 XJR1300 this last Sunday , this being the reason why I am selling the Fazer. Regards, John Re: Just finished Headlight Mod. on FZS600 - papercutout - 23-03-14 So, Dec 23rd came round last year, and I bought this from John... It was the first time I'd ridden a bike in 10 months, after quite a bad crash, and he/it was 170 miles away in Manchester! As you can imagine, it was a fun journey home! Since then I've done a few things to make her more mine. Unfortunately this also included a drop (hope he isn't reading this!), but that has lead to me doing some mods I might not have done if I hadn't! Since buying I've fitted: Renthal Ultra-low bars R&G, and then Yamaha crash bungs (1 R&G got written off in the drop I had) Jetex rear can K&N air filter 1 bar end mirror Heated grips (she's used daily now) Scottoiler touring (not working yet, frustratingly) I've also: Repainted a bunch of stuff black - the rear of the clocks, and supporting brackets, the radiator grill and any paint that started flaking off the engine. Replaced the Dunlop rear tyre with a Michelin Pilot Power 2CT Tidied up a lot of the wiring Given it a quick service Removed the rubber bungs that stop the tank hitting the frame - there's still a v. small bung on the left side to stop it, but it's hidden. They looked hideous IMO! Done about 3000 miles! As she stands right now; ![]() Opinions? Re: Just finished Headlight Mod. on FZS600 - MarkWales - 23-03-14 What exhaust is that? Re: Just finished Headlight Mod. on FZS600 - papercutout - 23-03-14 Stock downpipes (obviously), standard link tube welded to a Jetex rear box (it's a car midbox really). Means everything fits perfectly, and it's solid as a rock. Not the prettiest ever, but it sounds good, and goes with the theme I want. Re: Just finished Headlight Mod. on FZS600 - unfazed - 23-03-14 Great effect on the downpipes where did you get then done? :lol Re: Just finished Headlight Mod. on FZS600 - wezdavo - 23-03-14 (23-03-14, 11:45 PM)unfazed link Wrote: Great effect on the downpipes where did you get then done? :lol :lol :lol Re: Just finished Headlight Mod. on FZS600 - papercutout - 25-03-14 I did it myself, believe it or not! It's quite simple, you ride through lots of salt, the odd flood and don't wash it! Tricky to believe it'd be so simple, huh? ![]() (yes, I know, I'll paint them properly some time...) Re: Just finished Headlight Mod. on FZS600 - His Dudeness - 25-03-14 I like it. Tidy job on the headlight. If it was mine I'd get some rad side covers and paint them yellow and I'd give the exhaust a lash with a few coats of this stuff http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Granville-Cylinder-Black-Satin-Engine-Paint-100ml-/400672580604 |
