Re: Fuel consumption - Millietant - 16-10-16 Running a -2 front sprocket is just like riding along in 4th gear instead of 6th, so id expect that to be the biggest impact on your fuel consumption rather than your "riding" - but even so, it might be worth doing as someone else suggested and riding it till it actually runs out (with a can of petrol strapped on behind you), to see where "empty" is and what your true tank range is. Our Gen 1 Fazer 1000 runs around 220 miles until the fuel light comes on (from full), even when blasting Lang pretty quickly (not getting overtaken by anyone). Re: Fuel consumption - Dudeofrude - 18-10-16 Does running it to empty not harm a FI bike? I've always been taught to avoid it with my previous carbed bikes because it tends to drag all the shit from the tank down into the carbs. |
