I just forked out £280.00 for my car :'( [/quote] The main reason I have a small car (2004 ford fiesta 1.4TDCi £20 a year road tax) is because I am trying to save money. I was driving an Audi A4 2.0 petrol sport for the last couple of years but the road tax at £265ish a year and the fuel bills were just stupid. The fiesta is dull but for now it's the way it has to be. Just filled it up today £56 and I'd done just over 500 miles. The bike is for fun for me so it does seem stupid that the road tax for my bike is about £60. £40 more than the car I use almost every day. :rolleyes Chirs Re: Omg road tax - Streetbudgie - 09-05-13 Of course the ridiculous thing is that I pay £0 for 12 months vehicle tax on my classic bike and even better than that, two mate have classic cars and also pay £0 for their vehicle tax/ One is a 3.0 Capri and the other has a MK1 Lotus Cortina and a Corsair with a transplanted modernish V8 engine with pretty much just the original bodywork left! Gas guzzlers indeed yet their VED is free - work that one out! Re: Omg road tax - pilgrim - 09-05-13 How much is the tax on a twelve year old car that does 160mph and 0-60 in a little over 3 seconds? Bet its a lot more than 78 quid. :b I think its a bit of a bargain really. The wifes 2012 1.4 Fiesta Zetec is more than that, and BORING as fuck to drive. Goes round corners ok though. :evil Dont tell her that though, she'll call me a 'mad lad'. He's not into facebook so no easy to get pics but I'll ask when I see him. Re: Omg road tax - Chris - 09-05-13 But you did reply didn't you Si ![]() Chris Re: Omg road tax - Streetbudgie - 09-05-13 One troll on any forum is enough and we have one, he's called UG. I'm sure you'll be along with your beloved Wiki description of a troll but as far as I know trolls don't contribute to forum discussions, they just try to take them off topic or destroy them altogether. Have a look at your posts and then mine (I mean a proper look, not your usual speed read the first two lines then dash off a comment) and tell me who you think fits the troll description. Re: Omg road tax - Chris - 09-05-13 Wait a minute guys, the popcorn isn't ready yet :lol Chris Re: Omg road tax - Tiberius Onklevaart - 09-05-13 Oh oh default response when not In agreement.
