Re: Carb Mixture Screws - Dead Eye - 21-03-13

It had to be done, especially being a trek fan Big Grin

Re: Carb Mixture Screws - Dead Eye - 08-04-13

Just a quick update, after a few fill-ups of fuel, my MPG shot up to 56! A major improvement over the mid-40's I was getting Big Grin

Re: Carb Mixture Screws - red98 - 08-04-13

56 mpg.....does that include yesterdays blast back from h`s cafe ?

Re: Carb Mixture Screws - Dead Eye - 08-04-13

Haha, no it doesn't. But that was between Chelmsford and our fuel stop during the rideout. Got 51 MPG before that, but that included time spent with the old mixture settings. Going out for a run today in a few minutes and will need to fill up again so should have an idea of how the bike is doing when giving a good thrashing about ^^

Re: Carb Mixture Screws - red98 - 08-04-13

be interested in seeing the results  Wink

Re: Carb Mixture Screws - Dead Eye - 08-04-13

MPG ended up being 48 - but previous blasts had got the bike down to 40-43 so its definitely a big improvement Smile

To be honest, spending most of the time between 8-12k in the rev range was bound to hurt the MPG but I think 48 was damn good considering

Re: Carb Mixture Screws - Torque - 16-03-14

Hey, do you think that this may work for the 3rd cylinder?

I've bought already this "3 piece Offset Double Sided Angle Screwdriver Set Cranked Bent Wrench", because there is no big loss even if it does not:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/230961729545?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649

Any ideas, what can I buy so it works, without benting, welding etc. etc. as I don't have proper garage.

Re: Carb Mixture Screws - red98 - 16-03-14

Nice idea  Smile but I dont think it will work, not enough room to swing and keep track of the turns...what I think will work is a small sidewinder socket wrench...has a kunrled knob  (sounds painfull) at the handle end to turn the bit/socket.they are out there but are hard to find....let me know how you get on as iam after one aswell  Wink

Re: Carb Mixture Screws - Torque - 22-03-14

I thought that you don't need to swing that tool (the one I've posted). I thought you can turn the kunrled knob (sounds horrible :] ).
Anyway, still got problem with the 3rd cylinder idle screw.

If there is anyone that tested any tool that I can just click & buy, please post the link. Thanks in advance.
