Re: Top speed on a Fazer? - Looney tune - 27-02-13 70mph is the top speed I'm sure :o Re: Top speed on a Fazer? - NotAnotherHill - 27-02-13 I got mine easily up to 900 mph by painting 0s on the end of all the numbers on the speedo. Really works. Top Gear - 10 miles an hour! lol :rollin Re: Top speed on a Fazer? - JZS 600 - 27-02-13 Top speed's OK I suppose but if you want to go faster, buy another bike (and try it on the track of course!) Re: Top speed on a Fazer? - Thorn - 01-03-13 (27-02-13, 11:12 AM)Will.I.Is link Wrote: because of the gearing it will only do 135.8 which is what mine topped out on the dyno, it does feel like it needs another gear, I have no doubts if 4th 5th and 6th were a little taller it would do 150 Sorry but this isn't valid with standard 15/48 gearing, I've just recently changed my sprockets and so far I've touched 136, and that was nowhere near the limiter. If you don't believe anyone here, check http://www.gearingcommander.com/ - The FZS600 has a limiter speed of 172mph, not that it's ever going to get there. At peak power it is geared for 143.1. As for speedo inaccuracy, well that is a different ballgame entirely. I'm running a 120/70 rather than the standard 110/70. Exactly 130 on the speedo worked out at 120.2 on GPS. ![]() Re: Top speed on a Fazer? - Lumpy - 01-03-13 145 gps figure, 150 on speedo, non standard gearing. M27. 145 indicated but no where near revving out, A32. Same higher gearing. only one tooth up on front. Bird will hit indicated 190 on the A32 in 2 places on standard gearing ![]() 95 BHP is good for 145 and that's about it. Irrespective of speedo, bullshit etc. Need 165 BHP to see 185 with good aerodynamics Re: Top speed on a Fazer? - Thorn - 01-03-13 (01-03-13, 03:11 PM)Lumpy link Wrote: 95 BHP is good for 145 and that's about it. My 95 bhp XS1100 in the 70s did the sameish without the fairing but had to lay flat |
