Re: Waterproof boots, anybody got any?! - breadlord - 25-04-12 I've got a pair of W2 Tour-11s. They're now my main boots. Very comfortable. Only problem is that as wet-weather boots you're going to end up with stinky feet if you're in them for more than a couple of hours. Some are worse than others, the Teknics have a faint whiff of training shoe after an hours wear whilst the Sidi Rains honk like the contents of a dead cat's bladder. A ladies stocking filled with (not ironically) cat litter pellets and stuffed in the boot every night does help this problem. (but not Sidi Rains alas) Re: Waterproof boots, anybody got any?! - Strifae - 25-04-12 I have a pair of ALDI motorcycle boots - cost £29.99 I think and they are 18 months old and have NEVER leaked a single drop Quite impressive really as I wear them most of the time on the bike and they are really comfortable Re: Waterproof boots, anybody got any?! - MarchRide - 25-04-12 Another vote here for TCX Oxtars. Very comfy and bone dry, even in the bath!! :b Re: Waterproof boots, anybody got any?! - JZS 600 - 25-04-12 Might pop down to Aldi next time they have a M/C sale,,,,,, Re: Waterproof boots, anybody got any?! - Strifae - 25-04-12 Unfortunately you literally just missed the M/C sale - it may be worth popping down your local one to see if have any left in the relevant section Re: Waterproof boots, anybody got any?! - Phil - 25-04-12 My black Sidi goretex were great for the first year, but after that they started leaking around the toes. Re: Waterproof boots, anybody got any?! - AL - 26-04-12 I have Sidi B2 Gore-Tex boots. Never had any problems yet Re: Waterproof boots, anybody got any?! - Tefer - 26-04-12 My Sidi's were good leaked at toes too after a while, you don't get a lot of sole for your money, i am sometimes off the bike walking about. Re: Waterproof boots, anybody got any?! - ElkWorks - 09-05-12 possibly not relevant anymore, but check out Halvarsson winter boots. I have a pair, done 35k in them, never let in one bit of water, steel plate in the foot, great shin armour. even ridden through floods with my feet underwater for a few hundred metres, and fine. snow storms - fine. in fact, anything by halvarsson is a win in my book. Re: Waterproof boots, anybody got any?! - dolau - 10-05-12 If you like the boots you have look on Ebay for ex army Goretex boot liners- for a few quid they made my tourers water resistant- at least my feet were dry Re: Waterproof boots, anybody got any?! - bigfootpete - 10-05-12 I've got Oxtar boots - had them since 2003 - never had a drop of water get through, and they've been in some pretty crap weather for a good few hours, brilliant in the snow too ![]() Think they are less than £100 too. Re: Waterproof boots, anybody got any?! - redman - 11-05-12 Spada STp1 for me been brilliant in all weathers dry and warm as a camels arse. Very comfy and always get good reviews 8) |
