Re: Fazer Down Pipes and how to fit new ones - Dead Eye - 06-03-12 I've recently had a set from Sandy Spares via their eBay site - arrived fast and lined up absolutely perfectly. As far as getting the old ones off, I had only one issue which was that one of the nuts that holds the pipes on, unscrewed from the actual head so I couldn't replace it with a new stainless steel one (didnt want to push my luck by seperating them). I took some advice of spraying WD40 on the nuts and ended up doing this twice a day for about 5 days and they practically fell off ![]() Re: Fazer Down Pipes - solorider - 06-03-12 (02-02-12, 12:01 PM)CharlieDee link Wrote: Does anyone know if stainless 4 into 1's give a better performance than 4 into 2's? (de ja vu - maybe so...)the delvic system shown in the other post on here is a 4-2-1,basicaly a 4-1 will generaly give a good top end with less mid range where a 4-2-1 will give a better mid range with a smaller top end increase, assuming both exhaust are designed properly Re: Fazer Down Pipes and how to fit new ones - thom_1991 - 21-03-12 Soo got these from eBay a while ago advertised as Fzr600 Fazer whatever that is so i emailed asking to confirm they actually meant the Fzs600s 98-03 and they said yes. Fitted them today (after having to let the bike shop replace 3 studs...) and they fit the ports fine but look at the gap between frame and also the back bracket i've had to put a small ally plate to fasten it to the rearsets bracket as it didn't line up by about 30/40mm (which were fine with the standard pipes so its not the rearsets at fault) ![]() So what do we think blatently not meant for this or what else where you expecting for no name stainless pipes. I only paid £80 so i'm not sure. Re: Fazer Down Pipes and how to fit new ones - thom_1991 - 21-03-12 Actually they look like the sandyspares ones with no balance pipes and 4-2-1 but i've not heard of anyone having issues with the back bracket not lining up. |
