I had one clever soul follow me for about 1/2 mile completely oblivious to any gesture I made and ignoring me turning my lights off and on again.
He's probably on another forum moaning about "People who flash their lights on and off for no apparent reason?" :lol Re: Today's "What Gets My Goat" - crickleymal - 03-11-15 :lol Re: Today's "What Gets My Goat" - YamFazFan - 04-11-15 All the year round fireworks. Now every other night is firework night >: .Where do you live, downtown Damascus? :rollin We get fireworks for about a fortnight around Nov 5th but not all year ![]() Got to admit, it is a pain when the dog's glued to your leg with fright. I thought spaniels were supposed to make good gun dogs :rolleyes Re: Today's "What Gets My Goat" - BBROWN1664 - 04-11-15 There is the 3-4 weeks before 5th November when the kids realise they are available in the local shops (they forget the shop a couple of miles away that sells them all year), New year, Diwali, end of Ramadan, Chinese new year, the odd scrotes birthday and whenever the scrotes remember the shop down the road that sells them all year round. My dogs don't seem to mind them too much if they (the dogs not the fireworks) are inside the house but wont go out into the garden if they hear fireworks going off. Re: Today's "What Gets My Goat" - sinto607276 - 04-11-15 It's not even bonfire night and just saw a Xmas advert on TV! These should be banned till December 1st at the earliest :grumble Re: Today's "What Gets My Goat" - celticdog - 04-11-15 (04-11-15, 10:33 PM)sinto link Wrote: It's not even bonfire night and just saw a Xmas advert on TV! :lol Your'e right It's shocking. The missus was offered overtime on Sunday night to put up the Xmas decorations- she works for Tesco. It's the same every year, as soon as Halloween is over the whole thing kicks off! I expect 'Black Friday' will soon be rammed down our throats, the latest consumerist festival to be foisted upon us Re: Today's "What Gets My Goat" - sinto607276 - 04-11-15 (04-11-15, 11:11 PM)celticdog link Wrote:
:lol Your'e right It's shocking. I was in Asda last week before Halloween and they were putting the decorations om the tree that might of been put there by night shift, bit anyway, I said to the staff "bit early"? Reply was....."no way, would be even earlier if we didn't have to wait on the boss telling us to do it" says it all really ![]() I expect 'Black Friday' will soon be rammed down our throats, the latest consumerist festival to be foisted upon us your right, they just want us to spend our hard earned cash on others instead of ourselves or our beloved bikes :eek
Re: Today's "What Gets My Goat" - Grahamm - 05-11-15 (04-11-15, 11:11 PM)celticdog link Wrote: I expect 'Black Friday' will soon be rammed down our throats, the latest consumerist festival to be foisted upon us I think after the debacle that last year's nonsense resulted it, shops are going to be a lot more careful about this sort of thing :thumbup Re: Today's "What Gets My Goat" - darrsi - 05-11-15 (04-11-15, 10:33 PM)sinto link Wrote: It's not even bonfire night and just saw a Xmas advert on TV! Just saw another advert last night. We have to start a rebellion about this :rolleyes :rolleyes Re: Today's "What Gets My Goat" - darrsi - 05-11-15 (05-11-15, 07:57 AM)sinto link Wrote:
Roll back to 4th September! http://foc-u.co.uk/index.php/topic,18151.0.html
Yeah Mr darrsi, but that's not foccin adverts on the TV or big trees in shops. Re: Today's "What Gets My Goat" - crickleymal - 05-11-15 Pedestrians who stand 10ft away from a pedestrian crossing but refuse to use it. Re: Today's "What Gets My Goat" - celticdog - 05-11-15 :lol Pedestrians in general! Yep I see that all the time in town :rolleyes. Other variations on the same theme are the pedestrian stood at the Zebra crossing on the phone, but not actually intending to cross, thus wasting everyone's time pulling up and the pedestrian that does a seamless 90 degree turn from the pavement onto the crossing without even pausing/looking to make sure the traffic has stopped.
Bit like if a van you're behind gives way to a car in front of them on a narrow side street, then the car zips round the van but then has to slam on the brakes when they suddenly see you directly behind it as if you've appeared out of knowhere by magic. Knobs! Today's "What Gets My Goat" - Exupnut - 06-11-15 If u r filtering and any high vehicle that blocks ur vision to the left stops then u should stop also.....if u stay back a bit u can avoid the vehicle pulling out and he won't have to break.....there not nobs Darrsi just people pulling out of junctions because they have been let out. If u were to hit the vehicle in this scenario u would be liable. I wouldn't be liable for shit either, I'm not even moving! |
