Re: Today's "What Gets My Goat" - NO POLITICS! - mtread - 08-01-21 Quote: Where there's a catch is UK sellers get hit by a tariff if the whole thing isn't supplied and made within the UK. Anything that has parts supplied by or work done (I believe) by any non EU or UK, there is a tariff raised on the product, as it could well far cheaper and undercut any EU country.I think they are still debating what proportion can be sourced from non UK parts. Otherwise Triumph Motorcycles are up shit street :eek Re: Today's "What Gets My Goat" - NO POLITICS! - mtread - 08-01-21 Quote: just waiting for a proper MOD to come along and delete these political posts from a thread that specifically says no Politics. Or move them to a political thread.Nothing political to see here... :rolleyes Re: Today's "What Gets My Goat" - NO POLITICS! - mtread - 08-01-21 Quote: The other sting is this include NI as they're considered EU for trade Doesn't include NI for GB/NI VAT, as we're both in the same VAT system. NI albeit part of the UK isn't treated as such for trade as the line is in the Irish Sea and they NI have seamless (pre Brexit) conditions to stop there being a physical border. As far as NI is concerned trade wise they're still in the EU. ![]() As I mentioned earlier, apparently there is a get around but it complex at present and will prove difficult for small businesses, this is one of the areas that are still to be negotiated. It's more to do with paperwork and checks on origin and health (trust me) ![]() Re: Today's "What Gets My Goat" - NO POLITICS! - Gnasher - 08-01-21 (08-01-21, 07:52 PM)mtread link Wrote: They still have to pay tariffs if the whole thing isn't made in the UK, as well as the paperwork which is the same if sending goods to France, NI is as far as trade is concerned the EU ![]() Re: Today's "What Gets My Goat" - NO POLITICS! - b1k3rdude - 08-01-21 (08-01-21, 07:24 PM)fazersharp link Wrote: just waiting for a proper MOD to come along. You have been told what the post is about and what is isn't, any further posts like this will be removed. Many funds are invested in EU areas of trade and companies, any non EU investors I think could well be hit with a tax on dividends, which means less in the coffers. Hopefully not but, I wouldn't put it past them now, neither would i blame them. My road/cul-de-sac is mainly just drive ways with the odd bit of parking on the road leading to it, the road is normally empty save the odd car. This morning it's full I mean rammed, 12 cars, driven by 40 - 60yrs olds who don't live here, some with kids visiting mum/dad etc, I know a good few live in London and East Anglia, which are between 120 - 170 miles away one way :eek :eek :eek WTF, they're just not getting it no wonder this thing is spreading like wildfire, when mum/dad/nan/grandad catch it and die they'll be saying "I don't know how he/she got it we were so careful" TWATS absolute C*^ts :evil Re: Today's "What Gets My Goat" - NO POLITICS! - b1k3rdude - 09-01-21 Indeed. How do you know that they are not in a support bubble. As for support bubbles there is no limit on the distance to go and support a single person or the single person to go to them, but there is advice to try and keep your support local. It's your sort of 'playing around in the grey areas' i.e. what is local, it doesn't say I can't etc, admittedly the law isn't written well and needs more definition, but when you consider who's written it, it's hardly surprising :rolleyes that allows these sorts to take the piss. The 2 women yesterday and others caught in Derbyshire springs to mind, it's my right and I'm going to do it etc etc :thumbdown fine under normal circumstances, but during a world pandemic, just thick, selfish twats :finger This wave of the pandemic is out of control in many areas of the country, experts are now saying unless it's brought under control fast, any gain from the early vaccine role out will be lost ![]() Re: Today's "What Gets My Goat" - NO POLITICS! - fazersharp - 09-01-21 (09-01-21, 03:58 PM)Gnasher link Wrote: A support bubble is where you support someone on a regular bases 1 -2 time per week, be on call available to help at short notice etc.Wrong. Go and read the Government website on the rules of support bubbles. Also there are no restrictions on the on the size of the supporting bubbled household. And no restriction on the distance needed to travel to do the support Go and read the Government website there is no grey - its all in black and white. |
