I'd have better lick flipping a coin than listening to the weather report.

Tonight for example all day we have been forecast 'heavy showers' from 5 till 11. So cancelled our planned ride out with my mates but here I am sat home and not a foccing drop of rain to be had!?

And this is about the 5th or 6th time this month I've either cancelled planned rides for no reason or been caught out in tropical typhoons on 'sunny' days

Honestly.... they couldn't predict night time at sunset the bunch of useless twats

Don't get me started with that lot.
BUT use their app it has a 6 hour historical rain radar so you can make your own weather forecasts with reasonable accuracy and no super computers in sight.

I use http://meteoradar.co.uk/ which gives a 3 hour prediction of rainfall.

It's never 100% accurate (it can't be) especially with the light stuff, but it's very useful if there's a likelihood of heavy rain :thumbup
Similar kind of thing but I find this useful https://www.netweather.tv/live-weather/radar. Turn on the animations which help you see what may be heading your way

Yeah I use their app..... that's the bludy problem Haha but to be honest I only use the hourly forecast widget on my homescreen, I rarely open up the full app and use all of the functions.

Just annoys me they cant be a bit more accurate with it for at least the same day. I've literally been stood out in biblical grade rain while the met office app is predicting sun with a hint of cloud ?

Car indicators that are on the inside of the headlights as opposed to the outside. Always seemed a bit odd to me especially at night

Or the ones that are a ring around a brake light which can often be bloody hard to see if someone's braking and going to turn... Sad
Exactly - how unbelievably stupid are these designers, think about it you moron designers - when you are braking you are very likely to also be indicating too (unless you are in a BMW or Audi )

Now this winds me up no end. You have as much chance of seeing the ring indicators on VW's as VNA had with the smoked rear lights. Add to that the now "stylish" tiny front indicators buried in the corner of the front LED running lights and you certainly need your wits about you - nearly caught out a few times now.

Style over safety - When the feck was this a priority ?
Yep nissan qaqui - whatever, has them in the corner of v shaped running lights. Also some are no bigger than a matchbox. I think mine are bigger on the bike. What are the regs for them- are there even any I wonder.

When you park in a virtually empty car park and the next car in squeezes right up beside you making it difficult to even open your door properly.

WTF is that all about!?. I bet a psychologist could explain that one :rolleyes

It's to give your car someone else to talk to

Some woman did that to my mum once, then waited for her to come out of the supermarket to then suggest my mum had damaged her car with hers.
When my neighbour who was with her, a mechanic, asked to be shown the damage he was shown yellow marks on the bodywork.
My mums car was red  :rolleyes

Pop Up adverts recently appearing on the Met Office Weather website. I use this site many times a day to plan my outings and they are very annoying !

documentary programmes on telly where the speaker tries to make it more dramatic than it really is--that's just running off at the mouth, and is a real piss off.

Trick Or Treating

I've never ever been a fan, and irrespective of the thought process behind it, why the fuck would my 80yr old mum want to answer the door to someone like this, which could quite easily be a scene from the film The Purge?

Note: That is her door by the way.

Re: Today's "What Gets My Goat" - NO POLITICS! - Anquetil - 01-11-19

I totally agree, darrsi. A real pain in the neck. Demanding money or treats with menaces ! Yesterday evening we had three different groups hammering the front door. One of these groups was 9 strong, 4 adults hiding in the shadows, and 5 brats presenting at the door. We don't answer the door but after a full days work all my wife wants is peace and quiet. My nervous cat is not impresssed either, especially with the bloody fireworks exploding at the same time !
