Re: what did you do with your fazer today ? - nick crisp - 14-06-14 Spent a further hour WD-ing and polishing it, so now it really looks......well........like a used bike :\ :lol Re: what did you do with your fazer today ? - unfazed - 14-06-14 (14-06-14, 09:36 PM)bigbluebear link Wrote:
What is wrong with it? The part which controls the motor was causing problem, but have not figured out why yet. There are plenty on Ebay.com. I bought one from one of the fellows on her, but bought another for a friend from the States with cables for $50 incl postage. Postage was 3 times the price of the servo but much cheaper than a new one. One on ebay uk at the moment for £65 Re: what did you do with your fazer today ? - bigbluebear - 14-06-14 (14-06-14, 10:31 PM)unfazed link Wrote:
What is wrong with it?
If the EXUP valve is moving freely and cables are moving freely then your next option is to remove the motor and check it. I had the EXUP valve in and out about 5 times before I decided to check the motor. Take out the motor Hold the rear of the motor in one hand and try and turn the pulley wheel with the other hand. It should turn freely with just a little resistance (a large gear turning a small gear through a series of gears). If it needs a lot of force to turn it in either direction its focced. :'( Re: what did you do with your fazer today ? - mr self destruct - 15-06-14 Yesterday I had a ride out to celebrate one year of Fazer ownership. ![]() One whole year since I picked up my first big bike from a Honda dealer with a fresh mot and a new licence! Then realised that it was one year and one week since I bought it with a fresh mot and a new licence, so put it back in the garage and booked an mot. :o Oops. Re: what did you do with your fazer today ? - Exupnut - 15-06-14 Lol Re: what did you do with your fazer today ? - Kosmic Kartman - 15-06-14 Ballistic ride to Loomies and back. Re: what did you do with your fazer today ? - Millietant - 15-06-14 As it's Father's Day and the Fazer 1000 and my RSV are both in a mates garage for MOT tomorrow, my son Ryan let me ride his Fazer 600, with him as pillion. We did around 120 miles, stopping off at Leicester Airfield for a cuppa and then at the 1940's replica Cafe (and army surplus store) in Lutterworth, for lunch and a look round. Great roads, great son for company, great little bike - all in all an awesome Fathers Day. Re: what did you do with your fazer today ? - woodwizzard - 15-06-14 Rode it to Falmouth and back, 267 miles in all, and discovered I need to get a bigger screen to fend off the wind blast. Don't 'spose being 6'5" helps much. Re: what did you do with your fazer today ? - pilninggas - 15-06-14 Went for a dash down to Lynton, via Minehead and Porlock, to see how much of a difference doing airbox mod, decat and PCV had made (all done yesterday). Running the HM Racing Map - Awesome a ton more midrange. Re: what did you do with your fazer today ? - esetest - 15-06-14 Picked the Fazer up from my sisters house and went for a quick spin down through Cheddar and back home through Burrington . Re: what did you do with your fazer today ? - karlo - 16-06-14 Focced off over to the Ol' Country (Notts) to see me ol' fella for Daddy's Day, first chance I've had for a decentish run to test the latest mod and I'm well chuffed :lol Re: what did you do with your fazer today ? - Oldgit - 16-06-14 went for an 80 odd mile jaunt on the Monkey Bike down Peeblesshire way, life is different at 45 mph flat out with a wind behind you. Re: what did you do with your fazer today ? - NorthWestern - 17-06-14 refitted my top yoke + risers after painting them. Rode it to work... Seeing as its allegedly ride to work week and its warm and sunny I saw very few bikes..... Re: what did you do with your fazer today ? - Andy FZS - 17-06-14 Took both wheels out ready for new tyres. Then thought I'd just clean the forks then stripped and greased one brake caliper just leaving one left to do when I refit the wheels. On inspection brake pads are good so won't bother fitting the new set which came today but I may strip and clean the callipers, as Andy above ![]() |
