Happy days ![]() Re: what did you do with your fazer today ? - Dead Eye - 03-06-14 Made the final credit card payment to pay off the purchase of my thou ![]() Now I need to start work on the other credit card... :'( :'( :'( Re: what did you do with your fazer today ? - chaz - 03-06-14 new boots Re: what did you do with your fazer today ? - Red Ceri - 04-06-14 Ripped the META alerm of my bike and bypassed it using a paper clip, couldn't get any wires securley into the connectors, started first time, ![]() Any ideas of best cleaning fluid to remove the oil residue without causing more long term problems? I was actually thinking of using Brake and clutch cleaner (quick flash off time and fairly heavy duty). Re: what did you do with your fazer today ? - TonyW - 05-06-14 Had a gentle run out to Paignton bike night. Spotted a couple of Fazers, Had a cuppa then a rather more exciting ride home with a couple of mates I met there. Also try a little engine degreaser on a cloth, that'll get rid of the oil. A bit of petrol or nail polish remover on a cloth with definately get rid of the sticky tape residue. [/quote] GT85has a light solvent action on glue residues & wont harm your electrics. Re: what did you do with your fazer today ? - slappy - 05-06-14 Fitted a Delkevic tri oval can to my FZ1. I cannot decide if it is a bit too loud for my tastes really, even with the baffle in, but I think it looks pretty good for the price, £175 delivered. Re: what did you do with your fazer today ? - Red Ceri - 05-06-14 Cleaned (with clutch and Brake cleaner) all the individual splices for my alarm loom, took the chance to check for corrosion and weakness of the joints, re-taped each one and rewound the loom, Didn't use GT85 as the PTFE in it stops the tape sticking. Re-fitted OEM rear indicators and clean underseat area as much as possible, checked how best how to re-route my autocom system and other accessory wiring to make it neater and save space under the seat. Ordered original front sprocket and fuel filter. Re: what did you do with your fazer today ? - trpFZS1 - 05-06-14 Oil and filter changed and stripped and lubricated the EXUP valve for the first time. Not as daunting as I imagined. All the fixings removed, lubricated and refitted in line with the excellent instructions on the forum. Re: what did you do with your fazer today ? - nick crisp - 05-06-14 A short run around some of the local Cotswold villages - The Rissingtons, Bourton-on-the-Water, Lower and Upper Slaughter. Mostly back lanes taken at a gentle pace after yesterdays rain washed a lot of loose stuff into the roads, but enjoyable nevertheless. Finished with a blat down the A44 to Chipping Norton, then Burford and home - well, you gotta clear it's throat at some point ![]() So nice to have some energy left on a summery evening while it's still light after work to do this. Lifts the spirit no end ![]() Re: what did you do with your fazer today ? - slimwilly - 06-06-14 (05-06-14, 09:58 PM)nick crisp link Wrote: A short run around some of the local Cotswold villages - The Rissingtons, Bourton-on-the-Water, Lower and Upper Slaughter. Went for a black/grey graphite. Not really sure about them. ![]() Re: what did you do with your fazer today ? - Lez72 - 06-06-14 I think they look good. Might be worth having the rear footpeg hangers done in the same colour to blend it all in ??? Re: what did you do with your fazer today ? - dazza - 06-06-14 Cheers Lez, am getting the rear hangers and pegs done but think I'll go with satin black. The frame is difficult to match as it is sort of metallic. The thing is that in direct sunlight the covers look a lot more grey which is why I'm not too sure about them. You'll either get used to them or get them in black, they deffo look better than the silver |
