But I’m not sure it would make sense for you. One, today’s leaked government BREXIT report suggests that the only good BREXIT deal is to bin BREXIT and remain in the EU. Every possible other option, just as I’ve said from the start will leave the UK, or in your scenario, England (and Wales? You will take them with you, won’t you?) worse off. Economic growth will stagnate with possible recession.
And on top of that if you break away from Scotland, well Scotland has been subsidising England for years.
Anyway, no need for a border, well that is as long as ye come to yer senses and bin BREXIT, as Scotland will be staying in the EU.
Ach, whatever, we’ll bung you some cash under oor foreign aid budget.

The Spectator! A Conservative magazine on politics. Hmmm. Nor I am sure what they are trying to say. Until recently Scotland did not raise any taxes for it’s own government, it gets a grant from the UK, ie we get a % back of the money we pay to the exchequer. But we now have control over income tax raised in Scotland, so our budget is a combination of Barnett formula grant plus the income tax we raise.
Note also the figures The Spectator quotes exclude North Sea Revenue. In fact, all the figures quoted in the English press magically exclude oil revenues, that is until the recent collapse in the oil price!
The reason we can spend more per head than the rest of the UK is because Scotland raises more tax per person than the rest of the UK. We subsidise the UK. Naturally we have remote communities to look after, so it does actually cost more to run services across the whole of Scotland.
Meanwhile of course, we are still funding nuclear weapons, funding warships and paying for England’s foreign adventures. We wouldn’t be doing much or any of that as an Independent nation. Being tied to the UK costs us a flaming fortune.
But of course, Scotland voted decisively to remain in the UK. The BREXIT government’s own reports show that the only option that makes sense is to bin BREXIT. So what are we to do.
A second Independence Referendum may well be on the cards.

On Sunday I was on a Group Ride (about 20 participants) and about a dozen bikes were stopped up ahead at traffic lights.
There's a car behind them and about 12 feet of clear space between it and the bikes, so I filter past and slot in.
The next thing I know, the foccing twat driving the car has pushed up alongside me (his wing was actually touching my leg!!) and shouting at me that it's illegal for me to go past him like that!
For foc's sake. I was out with the foccing Solent Advanced Motorcyclists. We're all at least Green Badge holders (ie passed our Advanced Tests) and we had at least three Observers on the Ride and this pillock who probably passed his test about 50 years ago and has never looked at a Highway Code since is trying to tell me that filtering is illegal!
I also notice that his car is bending my indicator back and, if it wouldn't have made everyone else have to stop and wait, I considered demanding his registration and insurance details, since he had, effectively, struck my vehicle with his.
As it was, I really couldn't be bothered to deal with this focwit, but incidents like this are just another reason why I'm in favour of compulsory re-tests

Owning a motorbike is all but illegal I'm France isn't it haha I've never bothered myself but I hear driving/riding there is more hassle than it's worth with all the petty rules they keep bringing in.

and believe it or not, the leader of my local authority actually spoke those same word to me back in the late nineties, regarding a referendum to dispose of council houses or not. "Whats if the result's is a NO". "We'll keep balloting until we get a yes" was the reply.

Foc all this brexit bo**ocks can any one answer this great mystery of life why do your leathers/bike clothes shrink in the cupboard if you don't ride through the bad weather of winter. Some of us of more senior years don't do the cold and wet as well as we used to, plus it hurts more if/when we bin it.

Have you noticed how leather seems to shrink with age? Every spring I find my lovely Scott leathers have gotten that wee bit tighter.

Perhaps it's because the oils in the leather dry out, especially if the leathers have been soaked. An application of a leather treatment before storing may help.

In typical French style, however, whilst it may be illegal, they still do it. And now:
