Ahh!  :eek  The old Avon Speedmaster, squared profile rear tyre. (Great if you had a sidecar bolted on the side) Then came along the Dunlop TT's I think one of the first road tyres from the race stable, they were a huge improvement over the Avon Speedmaster, but they had a complete zig-zag tread pattern that went around the complete circumference of the tyre and caused a very slight continuous wiggle as the bike tended to follow the zig-zag tread pattern. :'(

Yep the old cross ply TT100 were the tyres of the day back in the late 70s early 80s. Smile

Obviously Tommy you are of similar vintage to me  :lol

Just checked out front sprocket & nut, washer etc. Bike done 11,000 from new so I reckon its on its Original chain & sprockets. A bit lumpy so am replacing & doing a decent service at the same time. Oil, filter, plugs etc.

That's the new upgraded 12mm sprocket nut by the looks of it, as the nut is flush with the end of the shaft.

Hey MillaFZS6H, how did you post those videos in FOC-U. I can not get the vids small enough to be accepted, unless it about 20 to 25 seconds long, or shorter.

Oiled clutch cable.

Gave the bike a wash.  8)

Gas blow lamp with a fine feather flame played on each bolt for 10 seconds got all mine out when I replaced the disc. also give each bolt/screw a sharp crack with a hammer first (Just not too hard alloy wheel and all that)

Or not with them chicken strips.
Picked the bike up from my parents on way to see the misis for dinner and I kept hearing a weird banging when I went over bumps,  luckily I was 5mins from home so moaning to myself and thinking it sounded expensive I was working out how much I could afford to spare this month .. (£4.67 and half a pack of chewy)
I was very relieved to see it was just my hugger. The 2 bolts on the chain side were missing ..
I cleaned my chain last weekend so guessed maybe the chain lube helped the bolts vibrate out? They war definitely there before I set of cos I always give bike a little once over before I go out.
Put some new bolts in with a touch of loctite  should solve that problem.

Not very exciting  ... just thought I would share. Lol

You will find that the Chicken strips will go once you take the sidecar off the bike. :rolleyes :lol

First track day of the year. Spot the odd one out.

That is ace  :rollin

Pretty sure if you left the top box you still will kick ass on the track with the Fazer  :thumbup

Blooming Nora !! There were really poor riders out there, a danger to themselves, never mind others.

Well done for you patience, but I bet the conversion afterwards between the sports-bike "riders" was all about your WSB set-up Ohlins suspension, your 130 bhp ex WSS R6 transplanted engine, your super sticky BSB special tyres and the lightness of all your mega expensive c/f, titanium, and magnesium parts.

Surely you couldn't be faster than them on a "normal" Fazer ???

a quick oil change and general check around the bike...

Re: What have you done to your FZS600 bike today - Frosties - 30-03-16

Well the CBF wouldn't start this morning so pulled the Fazer out (not used for 4 months), checked the tyre pressures, stuck some fuel in, primed the pump, thumbed it and good old faithful started after about 5 cranks with a bit of choke. Big Grin

Others can say what they like but it's never ever let me down  :thumbup  Did miss the torque of the CBF though.....

Re: What have you done to your FZS600 bike today - unfazed - 30-03-16

Give me reliability over torque any day  Big Grin
