Re: London Foccers!!! - Exupnut - 04-02-13

hi all. a quick word about sunday march 3rd. red98 wont be able to make it due to a family commitment and therefore wont be choosing the meet/destination. soooooo we gonna choose some one else as we decided that each month somebody different can choose as long as they have turned up that month. after much deliberation and cogitations we managed to whittle it down to one person. it was a very difficult decision as u can imagine and we nearly came to blows over it but we got there in the end....and so...for his utter dedication to this fazer fraternity, for his complete devotion to all things mechanical, for being a nutjob and tryin to change the downpipes on a bike with 84,000 miles on the clock before our inaugural meet(did i spell that right?) for being a crap guitar player, and for turnin up in a cage and spendin twice as much on gogo juice as anyone else.......me and red98 have decided......wait for it........its coming.........DEADEYE!!

congratulations liam u deserve it.

Well apparently this job has been thrust upon me and I will try to do what I can for people.

Firstly though, who has any ideas? Tongue

There are some nice roads round yours... maybe we could repeat the blast the three of us had a week ago? It may be a bit far for some though... Just a thought!

Re: London Foccers!!! - Dead Eye - 04-02-13

True, there are some ok roads around here (many that I am yet to explore) but Chelmsford is fair haul for anyone living within the M25, especially south of the Thames.

I believe someone at Blackheath mentioned a meeting area around the M20 ish and picking some more of the southern foccers?

...some are born great, some achieve greatness, and some have greatness thrust upon 'em. Well, Malvalio, I think some mentioned Oakdene Cafe?

http://www.oakdenecafe.co.uk/

Any thoughts? Ride down to Dungeoness?

Re: London Foccers!!! - Dead Eye - 05-02-13

Certainly could be an option - I'm not overly worried about distance personally and I think the same can be said for ChristoT and red98 considering the distance they travelled to the most recent meet. How many would be prepared to do this? The distance from Blackheath to Southend seems about equidistant to that of Oakdene to Dungeness. Looks like there are some more interesting routes to get there as well instead of relying on major trunk A roads

The plan sounds nice, I'm up for it! Prelim meet at Blackheath, then on to Oakdene?

As for distances, I'm going to need to have an additional fuel tank fitted! Tank was brimmed yesterday morning, the warning light's on now....
