NEW FORUM software - Please read and post any queries/issues in this thread - BBROWN1664 - 04-07-24
With the server upgrade carried out by the forum hosts it proved one step too far for the ageing software we were using so we have had to jump to the new software we have been testing for a couple of weeks now.
- Its not perfect, there are still some issues but if you spot anything, tell us - we may not have noticed it yet.
- If there are any changes you would like to see, tell us - we may not have thought about it yet
Tell us by responding to this thread and we will see what we can do.

- Can the layout be compacted to closer resemble the spacing of the old forum..?
- Can the 'Latest Download Submissions' section be hidden, or moved to the bottom and have a collapse toggle like all the other sections.

An additional theme has been installed now which users can use if they want a simplified look and may be clearer on mobile devices.
The users can choose their own Theme from the ones installed though they may not be configured fully.
- Go to "User CP" on the menu bar at the top of this page
- Then "edit options" on the "Your profile" section on the left hand side of the page
- Then scroll down and choose the theme you want to use in the "Other Options" box.

If you choose the dark theme, the forum logo across the top of the windows is broken.

Just a note on the mobile theme.
The old board used to have a ‘recent posts’ feature which I used a lot. This board has ‘new posts’ and ‘today’s posts’.
I’ve found that clicking ‘portal’ will give the same results (I think) as recent posts.

But that just asks for a URL and is not something I can add from my PC or phone.
