I know my thoughts......what's yours? - darrsi - 23-10-16 The driver of the car got fined $7000.......somehow? :lurk http://video.dailymail.co.uk/video/mol/2016/10/22/7776628855057462729/1024x576_MP4_7776628855057462729.mp4 Re: I know my thoughts......what's yours? - mickvp - 23-10-16 Mistakes on both sides there I would say. Re: I know my thoughts......what's yours? - YamFazFan - 23-10-16 Asking for trouble, riding through traffic at that speed. Car drivers make those sort of manoeuvres all the time in city traffic. You have to expect it and be prepared for it. Re: I know my thoughts......what's yours? - limax2 - 23-10-16 Fault on both sides but a $7,000 fine for the car driver seems over the top unless there is more to it than what we see. e.g. no insurance. Credit to both of them for handling it in such a calm and polite manner though. Re: I know my thoughts......what's yours? - Dudeofrude - 23-10-16 I would have said 50/50. Neither vehicle was extensively damaged but both would cost money to get back right so I would have personally walked away with an apology and a lesson learnt. Re: I know my thoughts......what's yours? - Bretty - 23-10-16 Well I think he was riding like a dick. Right or wrong you won't live very long expecting cars to see you and give way all the time. Look at his speedo. He managed to find the horn but not the brakes?! Re: I know my thoughts......what's yours? - lew600fazer - 23-10-16 Biker at fault riding like a nut job, he nearly got clipped by the red car suv coming out of the side road what speed ws he doing. Re: I know my thoughts......what's yours? - unfazed - 24-10-16 :agree If you watch his speedo he actually increased his speed, any normal rider would have slowed. He would want to take a few lessons on road craft. An red suv pulling out from the left and the black one at an angle ready to change lanes, was time to back off and assess the situation more clearly, which he did not do. An accident waiting to happen is what he was judging by his inability to assess the situation. Re: I know my thoughts......what's yours? - darrsi - 24-10-16 Did I mention he was a pizza delivery rider? :rolleyes Re: I know my thoughts......what's yours? - Fazer99 - 24-10-16 There is something about the sound of the de-accelleration as the biker got closer to the car that is twitching my spidy sence, call me paranoid but me thinks the crash was a setup to get money, maybe he was looking at getting a new bike and saw this as a quick win to get some dosh. Odd. Could be a simple case of experience versus stupidity/naivety. Re: I know my thoughts......what's yours? - joebloggs - 24-10-16 Bit of a strange one, I wonder if the car pulling out took his eye off the car he eventually hit, and the increase in speed was to try to pass the vehicle pulling out of the side road. Either way I'd say he didn't have time to evaluate the situation before it was to late. Can't believe the driver was fined at all let alone 7K Re: I know my thoughts......what's yours? - darrsi - 25-10-16 In an ideal world it would've been super nice if the drivers had indicated at what they were doing, but in fairness at such slow movements in virtually static traffic you shouldn't really expect some doofus to be charging at you from behind regardless. How the driver got a fine of that amount is beyond belief, and if it was me i would have to contest it all the way. Re: I know my thoughts......what's yours? - lew600fazer - 25-10-16 Just wonder if said driver has no insurance and banned while driving and a string of convictions the length of your arm + driving a stolen vehicle. Might explain the £7k fine :rollin Re: I know my thoughts......what's yours? - darrsi - 25-10-16 (25-10-16, 10:17 AM)lew600fazer link Wrote: Just wonder if said driver has no insurance and banned while driving and a string of convictions the length of your arm + driving a stolen vehicle.
