Hermanji is here! - Hermanji - 18-06-15

Hi all at FOC-U,

I'm a new owner, had an FZS600 (2002) for a nearly a week already. Love the bike.

I'm down in Devon and lovin the weather on the bike right now.

Need to do a couple of things to the bike to get her up to scratch but very happy so far.

Cheers

Hermanji

I've got to spray the front fairing blue among a few other tweaks, anyone know the colour for this bike?

Re: Hermanji is here! - Andy FZS - 20-06-15

Oh and welcome to the forum. Other than the colour miss match the bike looks nice and the girls seem to be enjoying it already.

2002 and 2003 are "Deep Purplish Blue Metallic C" DPBMC colour code: 0564
But they have foxeyes.
Yours has boxeyes and it might be a production year 2001. In that case the colour is "
Blueish Metallic C" BMC colour code: 0775

Re: Hermanji is here! - Andy FZS - 21-06-15

As the fairing is not the original could it have been a foxeye from new and repaired with a boxeye fairing?  Just a thought before any paint is bought.

Re: Hermanji is here! - riedrider - 21-06-15

The model code on the label on the crossmember behind the battery tells you the year:
2001 is 5DMC or 5DMD
2002 is 5RT1 or 5RT2
2003 is 5RT4 or 5RT5

As said before, welcome to the madhouse.

But why paint the front fairing blue?
Red is way the fastest colour, as you can tell, it's way out in front of the rest of the slow blue colour :lol

Re: Hermanji is here! - Andy FZS - 23-06-15

Whenever you go somewhere no matter how fast you go the first bit across the line is always black ..

Re: Hermanji is here! - sinto607276 - 23-06-15

Depends...... :lol

Re: Hermanji is here! - Andy FZS - 23-06-15

Fair enough.....it took me a few minutes before I noticed the tyres. Lol

Re: Hermanji is here! - sinto607276 - 23-06-15

Me too, I was looking at the treads and curves on something else :lol

Its a boxeye unless the tank is also off something else  Big Grin

Only looks like the front fairing is off a different bike in my opinion, there should be a code on a sticker under the seat near the battery, if you get that, that would help in your search Smile but as said before it could be a late 2001 but registered in 2002 hence the plate.
