A guy has offered you a gen 1 in for sale section.... ![]() Re: What bikes do you have in your garage? - stevierst - 09-03-15 Yeah, just put a deposit down on a gen 1 this afternoon before I got the message. Albeit this one is ivanised with an upgraded shock too. ![]() Re: What bikes do you have in your garage? - nickodemon - 09-03-15 Ivanised is the way to go... I sold a gen 1 to my mate a couple of years ago with 110'000 miles on the clock. I'm gutted i sold it to him because he rode it for a while and the chain snapped causing engine casing damage. He repaired it, but didn't do a great job with the sump, which still leaks slightly, so it's been off the road ever since. I offered to buy it back off him, but he won't sell it back, so it looks like it's going to rot in his garden and never be seen again! ![]() Re: What bikes do you have in your garage? - Kosmic Kartman - 10-03-15 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Re: What bikes do you have in your garage? - nickodemon - 10-03-15 (10-03-15, 12:26 AM)Kosmic Kartman link Wrote:# Yummy ![]() Re: What bikes do you have in your garage? - nickodemon - 10-03-15 I meant to ask..... Why have you got the Ktm and hyosung? Are they not quite similar? Best 'bike' is definitely the mini bmx :rollin Joking! The KTM LC4 Enduro and Hyosung XRX are very different animals. The KTM, or me Katie Em Elciefor is 625cc compared to the Hyosung's 125cc's and while Katie can be refered to as a super moto (enduro with super moto wheel conversion) the Hysung is definitely NOT super moto. I got the Hyosung through an E.P. Barrus rep I worked with and picked it up cheaper than dealer's can get them for. E.P. Barrus were the sole importers. The Hyosung is a pretty solid Korean bike Manufactured by S&T, one of Korea's biggest manufacturing companys that also make engines and parts for Suzuki. Over the 6 years I've had it there ain't much that's gone wrong with it, it's very reliable and starts on the button every time it's been asked. The engine is the same as Suzuki's GS125 but has DOHC with shims and not SOHC and tappets. I bought the Hyosung to replace a KE100 that I used for a short commute to work as the other bikes I had at the time were all to big. On my recent trip to Scotland the Hyosung would have been better suited, power wise, to the snow on the roads and weather conditions. I'd have had to have fitted different tyres to make it work but would have been ideal for the little twisty tracks and snow covered hill roads. In the snow and icy conditions the KTM has too much grunt and spins up with very little effort... and I'm only little which doesn't help, better with MX tyres. With the Distenzia tyres fitted I struggled with grip when the snow was 1-2" deep. Any deeper than that and it seemed to make it's own tracks and stay in the groove and be a bit more stable. However on the lowland gravel and fire tracks where the road was made of broken rock and gravel me Katie brought a smile to my face and romped on in sideways thumper mode. Here's the KE100 mentioned and the XJR that I got rid of last July just before I moved. ![]() ![]() Re: What bikes do you have in your garage? - Dead Eye - 10-03-15 Just got the 2 at the moment; Fazer FZS1000 Gen1 Fazer FZS600 Boxeye The 600 is still a work in progress Re: What bikes do you have in your garage? - nickodemon - 10-03-15 (10-03-15, 02:07 AM)Millietant link Wrote: Here we go.........You could start a bike shop with that lot!
