Hi all I'm in need of some help,  I've changed the starter
relay, starter and button to no good as to why it's not
Starting without abump start ?

any ideas what it could be?

Re: bike not starting - darrsi - 25-04-13

Bit more info needed, does it turn over using the button, is the battery okay, etc

Re: bike not starting - yamy - 25-04-13

hi  when button is pushed there's nothing (no clicking etc)
Battery is fully charged.

Try starting with the clutch in

Re: bike not starting - Orangegrump - 25-04-13

Check the position of the red cut out switch on the right hand handle bar

Re: bike not starting - yamy - 25-04-13

Just tried all above and still nothing

Re: bike not starting - Dead Eye - 25-04-13

Time to check for bad connections to the starter motor. Use a multimeter and see if you are getting power whilst thumbing the starter button

Re: bike not starting - John Silva - 25-04-13

Have you checked all the fuses.

Re: bike not starting - yamy - 25-04-13

All  fuses checked and are ok.all wires feel fine.
Just thinking could it be the immobiliser playing up but starts with bump through.

Cheers

Re: bike not starting - yamy - 25-04-13

is there a fuse just for the starting ? apart from on the relay

Re: bike not starting - yamy - 26-04-13

Re: bike not starting - Ruby Racing - 26-04-13

So perhaps you have an intermittent problem? Now that's the worst kind.  Sad

Lmao hahaha

Re: bike not starting - Fazerider - 26-04-13

As always, it can be a broken wire or corroded connector, a careful visual check of the bundle in the plastic box under the tank and by the battery compartment may show the problem. Otherwise it could be the starter cut-out relay.

It's near the starter relay, lift the seat and take the left hand side panel off, it's the one with a connector with 11 wires.

Re: bike not starting - yamy - 27-04-13

Cheers bud will look at it and see what's going on

Re: bike not starting - yamy - 27-04-13

Looks clean but got one on order now 15 quid

Re: bike not starting - Fazerider - 27-04-13

Hope that solves it.
I would have poked around with a multimeter to check it's faulty before splashing out... but I am a skinflint. :lol
