Is his expectation fair. - chris.biker - 22-10-12 Looking in E bay and came across this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/full-length-hydraulic-motor-cycle-lift-work-ramp-harley-yamaha-suzuki-honda-/121003151499?pt=UK_Lifting_Moving_Equipment&hash=item1c2c59908b Now is it only me, but the line about he wants back what he paid for it, I m thinking it looks as if its been kept outside and left to go rusty and he thinks the next buyer should pay him what he paid for it. He's missing the point of an auction, where the idea is you sell for the amount of money peeps are willing to pay rather than it's 'perceived' value. Avoid. The guys obviously an irksome clot. Re: Is his expectation fair. - Lazarus - 22-10-12 a bit dearer, but I know someone who bought 3 ramps from this guy (rented a van and picked them all up together. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/250894948231?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649&clk_rvr_id=401425833100 sings their praises. Re: Is his expectation fair. - Streetbudgie - 22-10-12 How is that a hydraulic bike lift? It is a lift operated by a hand pumped hydraulic car jack, leave this to rot in the bloke's garden where it has obviously been for the last 20 years and buy the real thing, much safer. Re: Is his expectation fair. - chris.biker - 22-10-12 I believe the use of the car jack in these lifts is a genius design. The story I heard was that a group of designers set about producing a hydraulic motorcycle lifting bench, all was going well with the price until the hydraulics were added at which point the price got silly. It was then stated how come the hydraulic are so expensive when you can by a hydraulic car jack for £15. At that off the wall moment the hydraulic system was done with a compact self contained £15 unit. I feel they are fit for purpose. Re: Is his expectation fair. - DryRob - 23-10-12 I like the idea of having one of these but would prefer the scissor type like this, http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Sealey-MC365-Hydraulic-Motorcycle-Motorbike-Lift-Ramp-Bench-365Kg-Capacity-New-/200701099600?pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts&hash=item2ebab7be50 haven't got the room or the money at the moment though Re: Is his expectation fair. - karlo - 23-10-12 Looking at prices new for something similar I wouldn't think it's a bad price http://www.kdbenches.co.uk/products/category/id/27 Re: Is his expectation fair. - locksmith - 23-10-12 But thats a starting price and he may well have a higher reserve on it, probably has judging by the tone of the advert! Re: Is his expectation fair. - JZS 600 - 23-10-12 I think we should all "watch" it on E bay to be evil! Re: Is his expectation fair. - chaz - 23-10-12 looks home made to me? anyway I'm put it on my WATCH list we could all start asking stupid questions? Re: Is his expectation fair. - DryRob - 23-10-12 "could I use this for inspecting the undercarriage of a horse?" Re: Is his expectation fair. - richfzs - 23-10-12 unless fleabay has changed, you don't get to see of there's a reserve price until somebody bids on it?? Re: Is his expectation fair. - richfzs - 23-10-12 But, I don't think I could ever get desperate enough to trust my bikes to that rust ridden piece of crap! |
