  Tyres - PR3 or 4?
Posted by: clunkie66 - 15-03-14, 07:47 PM - Forum: Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner - Replies (5)

Picked up a nail in my rear today so rather than get it repaired (am a bit unsure anyway) so have decided to change the ContiMotion which I'm not keen on for a pair of michelins.

Anyone tried the new PR4s? They're supposed to be longer lasting and better in the wet than the PR3s.

Any suggestions?

  2005 thou shock for sale
Posted by: ajmes1 - 15-03-14, 07:15 PM - Forum: For Sale & Wanted - Replies (4)

For sale is a thou shock from a 2005 bought from this very forum. Got it the intention of fitting it to the 600 but lack time to get it done, and need to raise money for other more pressing issues on the bike.

£35 delivered to your front door.

GEN 2 DASH BLANK AND REV COUNTER NOT WORKING
Posted by: The Male Whale - 15-03-14, 04:42 PM - Forum: Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner - Replies (8)

We have a Gen 2 in from a bit of lay up and have got it running BUT the dash is completely blank and the rev counter doesn't move!

Power is reaching the dash cos the neutral light works as do the indicator tell tales.

All connections appear good.

Any ideas???

Blue Flame Tri Oval EVO3 End Can
Posted by: Kosmic Kartman - 15-03-14, 04:05 PM - Forum: For Sale & Wanted - Replies (1)

House move forces sale.

Will fit 50-51mm link pipe (not supplied).

The end can is custom made with the logo on the top face instead of the diagonal side/down face and the blue anodising is at the other end of the can instead of at the link pipe end. This is a one off.

Slight marking where the band goes round caused by the rubber rubbing. The can has some slight scratches, the worst is about 10mm long towards end of can on the outside face, though these are not really noticeable when can is fitted. Overall the can is in very good condition and has been looked after.

The can comes with the main removable baffle for top outlet and removable blanking plug for lower outlet

New price for this item is £179.00. Can be yours for £75.00 + £7.50 TNT next day delivery.

This is a used item and returns will not be excepted.

As fitted on my Fazer

  More problems
Posted by: solorider - 15-03-14, 10:46 AM - Forum: Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner - Replies (2)

Managed to sort the alarm out yesterday and last night saw a puddle of water under the bike, it Looks like I have a leak of water coming from above the engine, dripping down to the rear then down between the generator and sprocket cover, so more work to do.

  Bleed nipple covers...
Posted by: Kermit - 15-03-14, 02:00 AM - Forum: Fazer 8 / FZ8 - No Replies

Hey, have bought some bits from pro bolt including caliper nipple covers. I don't know if I'm being sense but I can't for the love of me get them to stay on solid. They come with I rings which I slip over the nipple and then put the cover on, just seems really loose.

Anyone else got some? Or any ideas?

Thanks
Kermit

Wanted: 51mm link pipe for FZS1000
Posted by: b1k3rdude - 15-03-14, 12:11 AM - Forum: For Sale & Wanted - Replies (43)

I bought Kosmic's can off him, so all thats left is a link pipe

Dont mind the condition with in reason as I can polish it etc and would even consider another end can with a link pipe.

ta.
