Hi all,
Looking for a recommendation for an optimizer/charger for my 99 fazer. I want it mostly to trickle charge the battery, but should also be able to charge a drained battery if needed.
Budget is 40-45 quid max.
A mate suggested the Optimate 4 Dual Program device. It's going for 37 quid on eBay.
Thanks

So seems safe to say we are out of winter (Don't shoot me for speaking too soon) and is a good time to wash off the winter crap and hopefully that remaining shield of acf-50.
Not having hose at home I'm thinking of using one of those hose washes you see at the petrol stations.
Are they worthy and which level would be best?
I presume they go same as car wash lvl1 plain water 2 soap blah blah blah

Ok not the song....I've just bought a new old stock Yamaha hugger for my gen1. The problem is they only had one in silver, so I thought I'd give it a quick rough up with scotch bright, a coat of grey primer and then a coat of black from the motor factors. Have I missed anything or is this a plan?

After getting my rear tyre sorted (ahem), the garage said that my chain sprocket is very worn.
How easy is replacing the sprockets and chain for someone who is not a mechanic and doesn't have a workshop, etc? Or should I not be such a skinflint and stump up the cash for the garage to do it?!

I am planning this years Euro-trip, and as I bough everything I needed for last years trip, I am planning to treat myself to a bike specific sat-nav.
I have done the whole car nav in waterproof holder and smart phone via bluetooth headset thing. It is a pain in the arse. The sun makes the screen hard to see. The touch screen does not work with gloves. The routes are not "biker friendly". They are not really waterproof as condensation covers the inside of the screen every morning. I am on holiday and am NOT INTERESTED IN DOING THAT ANY MORE.
I am interested in the opinions of you guys who own one, other or have had both at some point. Good points and bad points.
I have read a bunch or reviews and it seems that they both have pro's and cons. Really, I would like to have one for a week and then the other so I can try em out. But that is not how it works. So I am hoping some of you knowledgeable foccers are willing to share your wisdom.
