Hi All,

I fell in love with a FZ6 that a local village dealer had up for sale and also passed my Cat A license test last week.
I actually bought it the day before i passed so probably put myself under a bit of pressure with that one! but hey, all was well!

Glad to be part of it all!

This happens far too often for my liking... note that I'm the "expert" in this scenario and the clients are always muppets...

SMIDSY doesn't just happen to bikes...

On the way into work today, the Peugeot was nearly taken out by a dozy git in a BMW on the A14. As I was overtaking him and the lorry in front of him, the silly bugger pulled out on me without indicating or looking while I was alongside! I swerved to avoid, and blasted him on the horn, whereupon, he swerved back into his own lane, looking rather sheepish, it must be said.

Look out, they're out there!

  N103 Pinlock Fogging Up
Posted by: Timbollew - 28-03-14, 12:25 PM - Forum: General - Replies (14)

Hey, I've got a Nolan N103 helmet with the pinlock insert but with the visor closed it still fogs up if it's raining it gets pretty bad and then the rain gets in there when I open the visor and I'm screwed. I changed my pinlock a couple of months ago in the hope it would solve it. I thought Pinlock was supposed to be the shizzle! I don't find the airflow paarticulary good in the N103 but wouldn't have thought it'd fog up like this. Anybody have the same helmet or same problem with pinlock?

  Snapped exhaust stud

So undone all nuts, no problem, this is easy. Get to last nut.... Snap. I barely even lent on it.

It's not the closest but the next one. It's snapped flush with nut so still quite a lot protruding from head. I'm adament this is not getting drilled so help me! I've already started spraying with penetrating oil. I was thinking two nuts locked against each other and gently does it? then if that doesn't work, mole grips?

I'll heat the head a bit too, but any other suggestions?

Grrr shitty awful day made worse by my insurance company being cunts and not offering any help with a claim at all despite the other party admitting full liability. Oh, all of a sudden despite paying several thousand pounds a year to them for the business insurance including road risk for both Motorcycle Republic & Fat Maggot we are not insured? Oh I have policies & documents saying all my vehicles are insured? oh, but not insured on this occasion? WTF? All vehicles in mine or Laura's name and have been for years and appear on the MID but all of a sudden nothings covered? I don't totally understand it but it looks like the broker has fucked up and the underwriters are saying "Get Fucked, You're on your own!" SERIOUSLY, WHAT THE FUCK???????????????????????

Some fucker is gonna die, and it aint gonna be quick or clean.  >: >: >: >: >:

  Servicing
Posted by: Mowjoe - 27-03-14, 06:53 PM - Forum: Fazer 8 / FZ8 - Replies (5)

My 2012 Fazer8 has 2500 miles on her. It had the 1st service at 600 miles in sept 2012. Next is due at 6000 miles but that could be 2 years hence. So would you get it serviced for the sake of a stamp in the book or just wait for 6000 miles to come up. The handbook only says check annually.  :rolleyes
