  Starting bike after carb clean
Posted by: leviathanrising - 07-04-14, 12:05 AM - Forum: FZS600 Fazer - Replies (3)

This is a follow on from my previous post.

How long should it take until the engine starts to come back to life after cleaning filthy carbs (yes this I think was the problem, especially with clogged pilot jets). How long should it take to crank over?

My fuel pump is clicking like the clappers, so I'm under assumption the carb bowls still need filling up??

Ta dudes, and dudettes.

Fazer parts prices - Engine ingested small screw
Posted by: Craiginuk - 06-04-14, 10:37 PM - Forum: FZS600 Fazer - Replies (11)

Does anyone have a list of fazer parts prices please? Tank, wheels, fairing, seat, frame etc.  i'm considering stripping a very clean silver fazer 99 model that has just ingested a small screw. Long story...

Anyway, want rid of bike now but think most economically viable solution may be to sell as spares minus engine.  Does anyone have a list showing going rates for parts please?  Thanks Craig

For Sale Gen 1 Fazer 2003
Posted by: Northerngit - 06-04-14, 09:45 PM - Forum: For Sale & Wanted - Replies (11)

I'm selling my much treasured FZS1000 as i need to raise funds for a house move.
Its a 2003/03 in Silver, 22,500 miles.

The bike has been lovingly cared for since I bought it in 06 and I've done all my own servicing in that time.
Its in very tidy condition and has hardly ever seen rain.
It has been resprayed because it toppled against the garage wall some time ago and scratched the fairing.
There is a small scuff mark on the nearside fairing and mirror and there is also a very small ding in the end can but I have the original available too if required.
The bike has been 'Ivanised' by MikeGTX and has many other tasteful mods including a full shock rebuild by K-Tech, genuine Yam sub-cowl and engine protectors.
I have lots of receipts and a documented history of all the work/services carried out and all the old MOT's.
If anyone is interested, drop me a line. I've got plenty of photos I can send on.
Price reduced even further to  £2200.00
Thanks. Andy
p.s. The tank bag and luggage rack in the picture aren't included as they've now been sold.

  Wanted: Fzs600 fairings
Posted by: Steve1rc - 06-04-14, 08:48 PM - Forum: For Sale & Wanted - Replies (1)

I had a bit of a slide on my bike last night, and the front and rear fairing is no longer all there (I've attached pictures, will take more in the light tomorrow..)

The bike is a fzs600 2000 model, in the red/black colour

I was wondering if anyone has a new front fairing (my screen has stayed intact) - Mine is red, but looking to go to blue if anyone has any. I also need the small piece of fairing beneath the seat at the rear of the bike, left hand side (or both in blue) and a new mirror for the left hand side.

If anyone has any, please reply on here or pm me, the condition doesn't have to be perfect!

Alternatively, I saw a post saying that the foxeye cowling is reduced with Yamaha direct, does anyone know if this applies to the pre-foxeye model? (I'll be contacting them tomorrow to find out anyway)

Thanks!

  The National Motorcycle Museum

Was thinking of having a ride out and paying The National Motorcycle Museum a visit. Having looked it up I'm not sure I want to pay the £8.95 to get in, is it worth it?
