So as a few on the horrible world of facemuck know, ive been able to arrange for my Akropovic downpipes to be redesigned with some personal additions to be added!

So the exhaust has gone off to my fabricator, and the agreement has been made!

Full downpipes systems (minus endcan) will be available in the coming months!

These will follow 'Akrapovic‑inspired' geometry, with my own tweaks and improvements, not Akrapovic copies, but a refined, UK‑built alternative now that OEM and aftermarket options are no longer available.

Build spec includes:

• Back‑purge TIG welding for clean, strong internal welds
• True mandrel bends for consistent, unrestricted flow
• 316 stainless steel for maximum durability and corrosion resistance

I would think the Akra would improve peak power a little but how does it compare to the stock exhaust with EXUP in the low to mid range?

There are going to be the obvious issues with flat spots low down in the rpm which the exup irons out... But if your fitting a full system exhaust to your bike your stepping away from it living at 2-4krpm any way ;-)

For comparison, I had a standard set of down pipes fitted with a working exup & a Yoshimura endcan fitted and got a very healthy 130bhp with a near perfect curve. I think fitted the full Akropovic and got 142.3bhp! Granted they were different days, temps, dynos etc... but its a noticeable increase and the sound is just epic!!!
