Hi guys an girls I’m looking to coming back to a fzs1000 again( will be my third) but the previous two were earlier silver engined ones, the one I’m looking to possibly buy is a black engined one, my question ( sorry if it’s answered previously but I couldn’t find it) I’ve heard the later black engined Fazer thou has different jetting for emissions , is this noticeable difference?

Someone will correct me if wrong, but the black engines versions came out in 2004 onwards and afaik, apart from a some cosmetic and minor electrical changes, there should be no differences between the engines or the fuel system.

Correct for UK models.

They have different size nylon spacers on the needles and thats about it!
