So needed to take the generator flywheel off and you really need a puller but broke mine ages ago

so first i undid the bolt and removed it

then grab the least expected item in the spares box an old bar end weight

with no modification screw into flywheel

No i have not gone barking mad hang in there lol

insert allen key and rotate clockwise till tight (make sure motor is in gear keep going till it comes off

now unscrew bar end weight and put away till next time ya need to remove one

another clever idea Bourne out of total frustration lol

This is great idea and the bad end fitted perfectly. Unfortunately the inside chewed up and I just managed to get it out. I need to get a fly wheel puller. Had. Look on eBay but non the wiser. Any suggestions greatly appreciated

you tighten it up, then hit the end of the bar end with a hammer, the shock breaks it off, you should not be tightening the bar end to tight that it strips anything, the bolt or bar end needs to bottom out, then put some pressure by tightening a bit more

Tap - tighten - tap - tighten is the time honoured method.
