This sounds just like the "six bikers die in one week" story that happened down here in Hampshire at the start of the hot weather.

It's probably just a statistical anomaly, but it doesn't stop idiocy happening.

Unfortunately it does tend to result in official stupidity like another long swathe of the A32 (from Wickham almost all the way to Droxford) being made a 50 mph limit as if that would actually make any difference :(

It's essentially a "non-story" with barely any facts and lots of supposition about accident causes. Still it does the job of reinforcing the general public's stereotype of bikers.

A large part of me wants to say fuck it, let's prove the public right! Unfortunately, my licence's self preservation kicks in before I even start the engine...  :rolleyes

The council have stopped, or just about stopped cutting the grass verges on a lot of the smaller roads, farm combines now take up all the road on these lanes, shouldn't they have an escort? Just two points to make the roads safer or is that faster?
