If you have a week. then you will be ABLE TO TELL US WHERE THE GOOD ROADS ARE< :lol

Noggy wrote about some fantastic 85mph zip wire up there somewhere,, but he is just a kid of course

It sounds dangerous,,i'm sticking to my 15iiooooomphhhhhhh bike,it's safer

 :b

Of course you will ride out to Anglesea, over the Menai straights bridge,, there is a road race track on Anglesea to find too.

Snowdon of course is worth a visit,up the train ride sounds ok.

Some town with a grand (closed ) pier, looks like a busy town.

Some castles to see.

lots more to do probably,,Cheshire oaks shopping centre is a favourite of ours, an outletshopping place, some good deals to be had. check it out

one interesting little ride for you to pencil in is the great orme peninsula just by llandudno. you have to go anti clockwise as it is one way.

Anywhere - you can't go far wrong in Wales!
Most of the A470 is good. Agree with sadlonelygit, between points Llanberis, Beddgelert, Betws-y-Coed, Bethesda (A5), Ffestiniog.
Cafes at Pen-y-Pass, Capel Curig, Beddgelert. A little further south Dolgellau to Machynlleth (past Cadair Idris, and worth taking little detour down to Tal-y-Llyn halfway between the 2). Elan Valley and mountain road from there through Cwmyswyth to Devils Bridge for a slower, tight twisty challenge of a road - beware surface and sheep tho!
I always like to take a run along any little roads that head into the mountain areas just for views and a different kind of riding, as well as blasting the fantastic A-roads. Just explore!
Have a great week, and don't forget - photies! :)
Harlech, Caernarfon, Conwy castles all worth a visit.

tbh if u are sticking to snowdonia there actually arent all that many roads, as its mountainous, so in a week you should easily be able to ride them all !
One area I would also try is the area to the east of the A5 in denbishire as its often overlooked by tourists flocking to snowdonia.

If you're doing the North peninsula, and it's one of them rare days in Wales where the Sun makes an appearance, head down to Aberdaron and check out the Whisling Sands beach: http://www.visitsnowdonia.info/porth_oer_whistling_sands-147.aspx
Really, really nice, dead quiet, proper chilled out.

Regarding the Snowdonia hill train. As it's high season, I recommend you either book it in advance or get there dead earlier in morning, as it often gets booked up. There's another train that goes around the mines and lake, which is alright, but not that exciting. Stuff the busy crappy tea shop on the main road of Llanberis, there's a really nice quiet tea shop set back a couple of streets. Full of doilies, but wicked cakes and tea.

Definitely do the Horseshoe Pass: llangollen to ruthin - A542

If you're passing Machynlleth, the Centre of Alternative Tech there is worth a visit.

The slate mine in Blaenau Ffestiniog is worth a visit too, along with the Trawsfynydd next door too.
