Had a wee run oot at the weekend with another fazer owner. Balfron, Perth, Pitlochry, Braemar, Tomintoul, Granton on Spey then 20 miles up the A9 to Inverness. Turned into a petrol station in Inverness and the bike cut out and wouldn't go again. No bump starting it no light, Kaput! A good guy stopped with jump leads which managed to start it but as soon as they were disconnected it cut out. Rac was called and said the alternator was ok but the battery was maybe goosed. Halfords across the road amazingly had a bosch agm battery for the bike for the princely sum of £55 which was a lot more desirable than the prospect of a 220 mile drive home in an RAC lorry. Battery in and bob's yer uncle. Amazing weather on the way there, on the way back went via Loch Ness, Glencoe, Aberfoyle ( the Dukes Pass) and home. The dukes pass scrubbed what was left of my chicken strips and even gave me a wee scare on the hero blobs.
425 miles in 12 hours some of the best scenery in the world and the best roads in the world. New bridgestone bt23's with a mere 80 miles on them a breakdown, a fix, and a day to remember.. Thank god the sun hardly ever shines here, if it did it it would be too busy....
