if you have a nice big fat spark at the plugs i would start looking at the carbs  ;) ....what colour are the plugs ?

no 4 plug is still like new no change of colour when i pull the lead off with it running nothing happens and no 3 only a very slight drop in rpm   1& 2 leads off seperatly and the rpm drops right down to engine nearly cutting out so 3 not working fully and 4 pot nothing at all plug still stays like new  done a compession check and all 120

If you've a spark and compression that only leaves fuel as the problem. Either the level or possibly a blocked jet.
Are you using choke? Does the cylinder chime in at higher revs or when warm? (Might help pinpoint a cause to the choke or pilot).

Are you sure the spark leads are connected in the right order? Just wondering if 3 and 4 are swapped.

it wont float in the thames!!!!!!        yes removed the jets found no crud but still cleaned them all    didnt check float height as how can that ever get changed and never found that to be a problem in 37 years of carrer   waiting for high tide now

Yeah, I believe they do, but for some reason you aren't getting fuel in to no 4 cylinder. If the jets have been cleaned and the floats are fine (agree that its unlikely to be the float height) then that leaves the butterfly or a blockage in the carb rubbers (either side potentially)

sticking float,blocked/stuck float valve  ?  ;)

as above........to recap then, not leccy fault as carbs 3 and 4 have differing amounts of misfire ( both these plugs are `fired `by separate coils ) so chances of both faulty at same time are pretty slim. shit running when `fueled ` in normal manner but revs lovely when fuel is added bypassing carb ( vacuum nipple  :rolleyes )= internal carb issue.......and so we return to Red`s suggestion !! good luck. said it before, sit down with a cuppa ( and possibly a ciggy ) and just think it through. don`t start ripping things apart willy nilly. you know it`s a `fuelling` issue so keep solely in that area ;)
