hightowers intro thread, http://foc-u.co.uk/index.php/topic,7789.0.html picture of his bike a few posts down.

As I said, I thought the all-black colour scheme vanished in 2000, so that his bike was probably a 1999, albeit possibly registered in 2000. Having checked the differences thread, I realise the all-black did run on after '99.

@hightower, you may wanna invest in one of these if you haven't already, they're a very good piece of kit in the rain.

Any better noise from it given ive already a stubby can?

It'll give a very slight increase in noise, a much better breathing feel to the bike, no maintenance for an apparent 50,000 miles, and it'll be the last one you ever buy for your bike.
Yeah, it's a good thing........

Stay away from cheap air filters, they are very ill fitting compared to a K&N, and nowhere near as good.

i would recomend making an excel spreadsheet to record what your doing and when and how much it cost's. Maybe also make one to track your fuel costs and mpg also.

It'll give you a really good idea of how much your spending and what your bike is really costing you.

it's not that bad mate. I had to make an engine simulation model and a top speed calculator in excel this year. a 3rd year student has made a full data logging analysis program using excel.

I rather think Slaninar was referring to the fact it would highlight how much you're spending, not suggesting it was difficult!

Still, you're doing engineering, so you're not expected to be that good at the nuances of the English language and humour :pokefun
