error code help

hey there just went to start my bike and its showing error code 12 with the engine management light on and bike won't turn over??!!!! Any ideas anyone?????

Hi
It's the crankshaft position sensor.
The 2 core wire runs from the rightside engine cover to under the tank. It is black plastic coated & is clearly visible.
Check to make sure it hasn't been damaged or unplugged ( highly unlikely). If not you'll need a new one.
Have you worked on it lately.


Edit:
The wires are black & grey & if they are not damaged/disconnected test with an ohmeter across them & the reading should be 336 - 504 ohms.
