Picked up a friend as pillion and went for a bimble up to J&S Accessories in Braintree where I subsequently bought myself a new helmet (Shark S900) to be picked up next week (they didn't have the design I wanted in stock in my size :P) - can't wait to get hold of it ^^

We took a short trip to Cobh, (last port of call by the Titanic) to visit the grave of a friend of my wife .

Cloudy sky looked great behind the Cathedral when I realised I had forgotten my camera.
Took this with the "Not So Smart Phone" :)

Went to the RNAS Yeovilton Fleet Air Arm museum Ride-In day with some BCF-ers. Not a huge number of bikes there, but a couple of interest.

Our group just about to leave:

I liked this Z550 with GPZ900 fairing:

Weird thing:

And another weird thing. It's a Superdream....wait, no it's not....it's a....a.... :eek what the foc is it?! :

Nice modern café racer:

If you're gonna build a trike, might as well base it on something with some grunt:

And some aeroplanes in the museum:

Grumman Martlet, Royal Navy version of the American Wildcat:

Vought Corsair, another one borrowed from the Yanks:

Hawker Sea Fury, last of the great British piston-engine fighters:

My mum had a distant cousin (and by distant, I really mean distant; he moved to Australia  :lol ) who flew Sea Furies in the Korean war. And this is what they were up against; MiG 15:

Not a bad day out in all  :)

Got pull by the cops and fined.

First time I've pick up points.  License for 29 years and finally they catch me.

Done just outside of Inveraray Argyll.  Unmarked Burgundy Audi A6 estate.

Average of 80mph over 3/4 mile.  Not interested in giving me a talking to or anything, straight on to writing a ticket.

Got out of the cop car, saw 4 bikes coming down at speed, signalled slow down clearly to them (in front of the cops) and guess what.  Cops set off.  I jump on my bike, yup a few miles down the road they nicked one of them.

Now I felt stupid, but perhaps not quiet as stupid as the next fella they pulled.

But yeah they were busy.  Hitting bloody KPI's I guess, bringing in the cash.

3 points (phew) and a 100 quid (ouch)

Jesus I just foccing lost 50 quid on the referendum!

God knows what it was Paul. Certainly sounded like an old tractor. Had a nice puddle of oil under it not two minutes after arriving though  :lol

Minding my own business on the way to work this morning when suddenly *thwack* - some bug smacks me right in the neck

After about a 1/2 mile I notice something I little cold against my skin around my stomach... I didn't think much of it until I parked up at work (about another mile) and suddenly I'm getting stung. Fucking bastard wasp had gotten underneath my jacket and t-shirt and decided to have a party... little shit got squashed under my boot after that! Now I'm sore and red, it even managed to draw some blood!

I had similar happen the other month. Have you managed to pull the sting out? I did and it eased the pain massively.

I can't see it :\ Too much of a forest of hair...

Edit: Isn't it only bee's that leave the sting behind? A wasp can sting you several times and fly off as far as I was aware

Yep, thats right. Bees leave their sting in, wasps just keep stabbing you.

Wasps are just nature's way to show that God has a sense of humour. Who else would give a flying insect an obnoxious stripey suit, an attitude problem, and a poisonous harpoon it can use again and again! They're Assholes!

Honey bees leave their sting in you, but Bumble bees and quite a few others dont have barbed stingers and can sting repeatedly.

Today; I tidied and trimmed the head of the wiring loom  where it pokes out to connect instruments and lights in preparation for a much more compact arrangement of the single small headlight, repositioned indicators and instrument cluster after spending a few months in a tangled 'it'll do' state.

Tomorrow: I hope to give the whole thing a once-over to make sure it's all neat and working properly, that the headlight housing gets a coat of pain and several of lacquer to make it look its best, maybe even make as much of a start as i can on the instrument mount, though i'm not very good and cutting steel and i can't weld.

Close to being fully done... so close...
