London Foccers Meet and Ride - March
« on: 10 February 2013, 03:51:25 pm »
Right, to the best of my knowledge the plan is shaping up roughly in this fashion;

Some people will be meeting at Blackheath again before continuing on to the Oakdene Cafe where everyone else will meet and catch up. After that, its onwards to Dungeness lead by some helpful foccer (steeeve66) who knows the way ;)

TL;DR

When?
Sunday 3rd March 2013

Where?
Blackheath Tea Hut - SE3 0UA - 10.00-10.30
Oakdene Cafe - TN15 7RR - 11.00-11.30
Dungeness - TN29 9NA (ish) - 14.00-15.00

Route
Google Maps

Who?
Any foccer who wants to

Basically what Exupnut said - doesn't matter where you are from, all are welcome :) If you feel like just meeting your fellow foccers then you can catch us at the Oakdene and riding on to Dungeness is entirely if you are up for it. Obviously the more the merrier  :D

Any ride out will end up a fair bit out of London surely? This is only the second so there'll be one nearer soon enough? Just a thought; we could go 'clockwise'? The first was Southend, then Dungeness, then maybe Brighton, New Forrest, somewhere West, say Oxford? Etc? Just a thought.

I've a route worked out for Dungeness, will post it here shortly for all to look at.

parhaps we need to change the title too "london foccers meet and ride-out" you dont have to do both, just come and meet for a chat and tea,5 bikes on febs ride out to sarrrrrrfend which was good...but each to their own.......iam arranging aprils ride-out and was thinking of heading out towards oxford via henly with a few stops inbetween.....get you london boys out of the city  ;)

Does anyone go to Boxhill anymore? Or fancies a ride down to Whiteways lodge cafe on the A29?
Both are really biker friendly and nearer me???

So, with a little over a week to go, any idea on times, etc?

I presume there's a group starting at Blackheath. DeadEye, where are you joining us?

Also, who else is joining where (as it were)?

If I keep up with the unrestricted thou's like last time, it'll be double that for me (easily). Last rideout drained my tank, and that was a tiddler by comparison!! I blame it on the fact that you have to stay in 4th to get any kind of grunt out of the engine. Bloody 33hp...

Remember to give it the beans on the way out of Headcorn to take advantage of the hump backed bridge and glad a bit of the Military Road's in, quality!
