iPad problems
« on: 03 December 2012, 06:40:03 pm »
Does anyone know how to sort out a few issues I'm having?

If I use my iPad to access this forum I have to double tap to read the threads. One tap to open each category but two to open the thread?
Also if I open a thread with a photo on the first page it flashes back and forth to the category page really fast and doesn't stop till I tap on another thread?

Any ideas???

Same on the iPhone too. It's the shitty browser.

As above tapatalk access loads of forums from one place far better than using safari to access forums.

I've had the same on my ipad at times. I just close and reopen the site and it seems to clear.

I use a macbook and have never had a problem other than the common problems we all experienced a while back.
And i haven't had a problem on the wife's iPad.

If you tap once but hold it down then a menu should appear that says open,

Not ideal but i found if i only single click then stuff stays frozen on the screen over the top of other stiff so that you cant see it properly.

Tapatalk is ok when it works. On this forum it seems to be not working more than it works.

Tapatalk seems to be spitting it's dummy out a fair bit recently.

I'll spend a bit of time looking at it later on this morning, I've re-installed it but to no avail atm.

It was working fine on Friday (the last time I checked on here with my phone), when did it stop working for you folks?

I think the flashing back and forth between the picture and the thread is the hover preview function, if the browser thinks you've the cursor hovering over the title then it will show you the preview.
By tapping on the thread or elsewhere on the page the "cursor" moves and the preview stops.

I actually like this feature on the ipad/iphone as i can read what a post is about without actually going into it, and then if i find its something i want to look at then i just tap it again.

It seems to work fine on my iPhone, I'm not using Tapatalk though.
Behaviour with Safari is just like it is on the desktop computer (which also does the hopping up and down trick when previewing something with a pic as the first item).
