« on: 30 August 2012, 11:24:44 am »
Hi all, would like to introduce myself, my name is Martin, i,m returning to a gen 1 fazer 1000 again after a breif ( 2 months ) on a ZX12R , i sold my 05 gen 1 to buy it and regretted it straight away  :\ i returned to the shop to buy it back but someone had put a deposit on it  :o :o so a week of searching i now am picking up a nice 05 model with 11800 miles this sunday 2nd sept in cannock near birmingham, riding down from scotland with a mate whos picking up an 05 8in silver in rochdale the same day so should be a good days riding  :D :D this will be my 3rd gen 1 as i had one in 2008 too, just keep coming back to them, this one will be a keeper though  :rollin , hope to hear from all of you soon, Martin. :lol

Hello Martin. There seems to be a recurring theme on here of owners who are tempted away but return to Fazers. Although in your case it obviously isn't absence makes the heart grow fonder.  :lol

Sounds like youre getting your bike from CMC Cannock? Bought my Gen 1 from them exactly a year ago & without doubt its the best bike Ive ever owned. Just hoping for good weather this weekend to make up for poor summer! Ride safe & enjoy! :lol

Christ :eek

You have owned a whole bike shop,,you will know then which is good or not.

And the zx12 did not cut it, on riding position,,well i never, my days of race reps was over 10 years ago,

It sure is a different riding position on these Fazers, but i am getting used to it fast :lol , almost seems normal now.
I know its only the internet but they are real people ! ain't they?

Boxer which way are u coming south 2moro? If A19, A1M, M1, you could take A38(junc 28) past Derby,Burton & Lichfield & pick up A5(N) nr Wall to Cannock. OR if using M6 come off @ J12 & take A5(S) to Cannock. CMC are off the Hednesford road A460 heading towards Cannock Chase. Have a safe ride & enjoy,Dave :lol

Dave,

me and martin (Boxer1) have to head down the A6 to Rochdale first to pick up my new fazer thou first.. plan after that depending on time will probably be M60/A34 if its a good road.. any knowlege on that one?  not a fan of motorways so trying to avoid them unless its absolutely neccessary..

Budgie,
Think A34 good way to come to Cannock but BEWARE speed limits & cameras on Stone/Stafford section. :eek Pick up A460 Hednesford Road @ Cannock. Let us know how you get on. CMC nice bunch of people to deal with! :lol

Just to answer you manuel32 yes riding position on ZX12 a bit extreme  :eek especially coming from a fazer 1000, great bike though it was an unrestricted version so unbelievably quick  :lol :lol anyone looking for a low mileage ZX12 check cmc  cannock after sunday, its a beauty  :D for me the fazer does it better though  :)
