If Yamaha Motorcycles UK were reading this post, what would you like to say to them?
Keep it decent, truthful and respectful.
Treat it as if you were speaking directly to a Yamaha customer relations manager.

To loose one customer in UK may be a drop in the ocean to Yamaha HOWEVER word spreads especially on forums and if the FZ6 gets a bad reputation and we advise potential purchasers to avoid like the plague the effects are going to be far reaching. I would have thought in these difficult economic times that customer/brand loyalty would be seen as more important. I bought a new YBR 250 as a run around in 2009 & it was recalled twice for safety mods to rear suspension and given a loan scooter and because I was treated well hold the dealer in high regard & always recommend them to anyone who asks. FFS even my Fiat Panda(base model-no frills) came with a 3 year warranty. Its not like you bought a Chinese bike of suspect quality from an unknown outlet. I would not part with my hard earned cash without exhausting all other avenues. Supplying dealer, manufacturer, CAB, Trading Standards, Solicitor. At the end of the day you can write to motorcycle mags/MCN to describe your experience. Most organisations hate BAD PUBLICITY and one poorly treated customer leads to loss of sales further down the line. FFS Look @ their advertising & what it costs them to run race team!. Why do they do it-to generate confidence & brand loyalty in owners & POTENTIAL owners. One ECU? Cost minimal to Yamaha. Effect on their reputation -Priceless! Go for it boyo!

Like the reply to Yamaha Dave48 (should that be dave 64?) but they dont make the model anymore so its a lost leader to help one prole and no-body hear about it- or maybe even the opposite- help one prole out and everybody with a bike out of guarantee will want to be a special case.

Having said that I am pretty pissed off at Yamaha and wifey isnt impressed either  :( I had just put a new back tyre on and had it MOT'd for its third birthday
