chain alignment

On the fz6 if i use a ruler/dial type calipers on the length of the bolt on the chain tensioners and measure the bolt length would that be good enough to keep the rear wheel algned?

If you look in the oval hole on the swing arm you will see notches, both sides same amount of notches, job done, hope that helps.

Aligning on the marks will give you a 'near enough' alignment, but they are rarely very accurate, if you really want to make sure the wheels are aligned accurately then best use either the string or plank method.
